Chapter 2176
Joshua took a glimpse at the document Quentin passed to him, and his eyes gradually sunk Meanwhile, Jim’s brows were squeezed together.
It was at this moment that they truly debated silently if Charlotte truly was kept in the Quinns’ mansion, seeing the confident look on Quentin’s face.
Nonetheless, Joshua and Luke’s men had already surrounded and taken control of the mansion, with every movement monitored and investigated within these two days.
Their men even did detail checking on the thrash thrown out from the mansion. They had confirmed that Charlotte was still in the mansion and had not been transferred.
Even with all this, however, Joshua and Jim grew wary of the situation with how Quentin was behaving
Was it an attempt to cover up, or had Charlotte been secretly transferred to another place?
“What do you think? Dare to gamble your luck?” Quentin smiled as he smoked his cigar. With a mellow gaze and pleasant-sounding voice, he spoke, “If you’re not in, then I’ll have to ask everyone to leave. Butler, escort our guests out of the mansion.”
The butler quickly came forward. “Ladies, gentlemen, this way please.”
Jim squinted at Quentin with deep discerning eyes. True enough, he did not have the guts to gamble with such stakes. Although he believed in the investigation result from Joshua and Luke…gambling 10-percent of shares from Landry Group and Lynch Group each was just too risky.
That percentage was worth a lot of money, and the Quinn family might just have the upper hand with that money over the Landry family and the Lynch family. It could also cause them catastrophic consequences!
This specifically applied to the Landry family, since their family had been suffering due to the aftermath of Heather and Malcolm’s actions.
They had just regained their footing, so if Jim lost the bet and had to give the Quinn family 10 percent of Landry Group’s shares, their family would teeter on the verge of bankruptcy again! Most importantly…despite being an evil person, Charlotte’s life did not worth that much money from LAVT Group and Lynch Group.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
