Chapter 2193
If even Jim, the man who had laid by Charlotte’s side for many months, could not bring out any evidence to tell them apart, then no one could. As soon as he thought of this, Quentin could not help bursting into laughter.
“Well, well, not sure how to go about lying anymore, huh, Mr. Landry?”
He plopped down in a nearby chaise lounge, shifted into a more comfortable position, then swept his cold glance over Jim.
“Mr. Landry, you and Ms. Craig disrupted my godmother’s rest, went into the dungeon, and finally found two servants who we can’t even tell apart.
“Now, you’re even claiming that one of these servants is not only Charlotte but my daughter as well… You have such a vivid imagination. It’ll be such a pity if you don’t become an author!”
Jim narrowed his eyes when he heard this.
Suddenly, he realized that he had no comeback for Quentin.
He turned around to stare at the two women, who not only were identical in height and build, but both had faces mutilated beyond recognition.
Even though he had always thought Charlotte was Number-9 and treated her like the apple of his eyes…he still tried his best to maintain the innocence in their relationship in reminiscence of how they had met.
Therefore, he had never tried to get intimate with Charlotte at all, and thus…he had no idea if there was anything on Charlotte’s body that could prove her identity. With Charlotte’s face being unrecognizable, he would not be able to prove it was her even if he knew it.
Quentin was delighted to see how stumped Jim appeared.
“Mr. Landry, please don’t force yourself if you really can’t come up with an answer. After all, the truth will come to light sooner or later.”
Then, he tossed the contract to Bonnie and said, “Ms. Craig, I suggest that you stop trying anymore. The fact is, none of you have any evidence to back up your claims, and it’s extremely untactful of you to make such outrageous accusations based on two servants’ statements.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
