Chapter 2547
"Lulu, is there...any news?"
Before undergoing her surgery, Gwen passed her phone to Luna, asking her to keep an eye on it.She was worried that she would not be able to answer Luke's call, fearing that he would be worried about her.
Looking at Gwen's hopeful gaze, Luna could not help but look away, not daring to look her in the eye.
''No.Luke...is probably busy."
He did not call nor send a message.
Little did Luna know…..Luke was already buried, alone in a grave. She thought that Luke had simply gone to Sea City to deal with his business and wanted to give Gwen a chance to leave, so he did not contact her.She did not want to disappoint Gwen, so she could not help but add, "He should contact you after he finishes his business."
"Hopefully."
Gwen shut her eyes in despair, letting the wheel push her back to her ward as she felt her heart turning cold.
Somehow, she could feel that Luke might never return. He might never look for her again. To him, maybe she was not important.
Perhaps she had been overthinking after all.
Seeing how sad Gwen looked, Luna sniffled, turned, and leaned in Joshua's arms. She bitterly spoke, "Say, do you think Luke will still return to see her?"
She felt that even if Luke did not want Gwen to see him anymore, he would surely secretly return to see her because of how much he cared about her, right? Alas, he did not.
The following month, Luke never returned nor appeared once.
Gwen's body got better day by day, but the despair in her eyes only grew.
Despite trying to comfort Gwen, Luna, too, started to believe that Luke did not like Gwen as much as he said he did.
If he truly liked her, why did he not return once or even just give Joshua or Jim a call to ask about her? Bonnie and she had secretly gone through Joshua's and Jim's phones, but they did not find any messages from Luke.
Luna even got Nigel to go and check to see if Joshua and Jim had deleted any records of contact with Luke, but there were none.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
