Joshua paused in his tracks.
He turned back, a cold expression on his face, looked at the man behind him and said, “Master Allen, I think you might be mistaken…“
Beside him, the manager hurriedly rushed to Theo’s side. “The person who destroyed your painting is Ms. Luna and not Mrs. Lynch.“
Theo smiled faintly, turned and threw a gentle glance in Luna’s direction. “Why didn’t you say that you were framed? Just because he paid ten million in compensation for you?“
Luna turned pale.
She lifted her eyes and looked at Theo, then turned and glanced at Joshua.
The man’s face was cold and expressionless. “That’s because no one will stand on my side.“
A moment later, she raised her head and stared at Joshua, saying word by word, “There’s no CCTV recording, and the only witness chose to remain silent, no matter what I say, no one will believe me.“
“Why would no one believe you?“
Theo laughed lightly, strode to Luna, and looked at Joshua with clear, calm eyes. “Mr. Lynch, as the only witness, shouldn’t you explain clearly who was the one who destroyed the painting? I value this painting very much; monetary compensation alone isn’t sufficient.“
Joshua’s hand that was wrapped around Alice’s waist tightened slightly. “Is that important?“
“Of course it is.“
Theo raised his head, an unyielding glint flashing in his gentle eyes as he looked at Joshua.
The two men stared at each other in confrontation.
In an instant, the atmosphere in the surveillance room turned tense.
After a long while, Joshua curled his lips in a smile. “ Actually…“
He turned and looked at Luna. “I didn’t see who was the one who actually destroyed your painting.“
The manager paused. “But the staff said…“
“There’s no rule that says just because I was standing there and my eyes were looking in that direction, that I definitely saw it, right?“
A cold look passed through his handsome face. “ Even if I was staring in that direction, I was dozing off.“
Joshua’s words once again caused an uproar amongst the crowd.
Luna stood in her spot, her heart sinking lower and lower into the pits of her stomach.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
