Joshua lifted his gaze and glanced in the direction where Luna and Theo had walked off from, their hands still intertwined. They had known each other for just a few minutes, yet they held hands like a couple would!
Joshua could not help but frown at the sight.
“Joshua… Did you really not see anything? “ asked Alice tentatively as they made their way down the stairs, her hand still clutching his arm.
Joshua stared blankly ahead. “What do you think?“
Alice bit her lip and remained silent. After a moment, she said, “Actually, I— “
“I know, “ Joshua gently interrupted her. “I know that you’re trying to take revenge on Luna for kidnapping your kids, but this will be the first and last time, Alice.“
He let out a deep sigh before continuing, “If you’re still holding a grudge against her, you shouldn’t have asked me to let her out. Now that we’ve released her, you shouldn’t be trying to take revenge on her.“ His voice was low and solemn.
Alice chewed her lip nervously. “Alright, I won’t let this happen again.“
She would be more careful next time.
Joshua could tell she was upset. He sighed and gently patted her hand. “I know that you’re still the kind and thoughtful woman I used to know, so don’t do this ever again.“
The two then walked out of the art gallery and were met with fresh air. Joshua lifted his head to gaze at the city lights that blinked in the distance. “I’ll ask Lucas to send you home.“
Alice paused for a moment and said with a tone of slight displeasure, “Do you have to work overtime tonight?“
“Yes, “ murmured Joshua as he rubbed his eyebrows with an air of exhaustion. “I have a meeting tonight with some foreign companies.“
“You’ve been working overtime for two nights in a row now, “ Alice protested. She bit her bottom lip and tugged his arm in an attempt to coax him. “We haven’t managed to spend time together ever since I returned…“
“It’s not like we’re ever going to be separated again in the future, so why are you so worried?“ Joshua stroked her hair gently before he gestured at someone in the distance.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
