Chapter 2787 Yannie bit her lip upon hearing this. She lifted her head to stare at Gwen, her gaze gradually becoming more resolute.
When she recalled what Gwen had gone through...she could not help realizing that what she was going through at the moment was nothing compared to Gwen‘s past.
At this thought, Yannie sniffed and lifted her head to meet Luna and Gwen‘s gaze. “What... should I do now? Is there any news from Mr. Lynch? Does he have any way to help Thomas prove his innocence?”
When Luna saw just how worried Yannie was, she could not bring herself to bring Yannie bad news, but at the same time, she could not hide the truth from her either.
Therefore, she let out an exhale and said, “So far, nothing yet. Joshua has managed to find a coroner to conduct a postmortem examination on Senior Howard to find the cause of his death. If he can prove that Senior Howard didn‘t die of the gunshot, Thomas will be released from captivity immediately.”
She grasped Yannie‘s hand in comfort as she continued, “What you have to do now is help Thomas get his emotions under control so that he can recall whether Senior Howard has said anything to him before his death.
“All this can eventually become evidence to prove his innocence.”
Yannie nodded.
“You always know what to do, Ms. Luna.” Mrs. Flores smiled as she handed Luna a cup of hot coffee. “When I tried to comfort Yannie before you arrived, nothing could seem to get in at all, but you managed to talk some sense into her after all.” Then, she sighed and gently caressed Yannie‘s hair. “Yannie...I‘m so happy that you‘ve found genuine friends like Ms. Luna and Ms. Larson. As long as they‘re here to help you, I can die in peace knowing you‘re in good hands...”
The color drained from Yannie‘s face when she heard this. She shot Mrs. Flores a look of disbelief. “How can you say something like that?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
