“The report is here with me. Should I still lie to myself about you?“
Alice’s face grew pale as she listened to Joshua’s words. In the end, her face lost all of its colors.
She clutched onto the report as she gnawed on her lip.
She got someone to confiscate all of the electronic equipment in the children’s rooms the night before she forced them to drink ten bottles of milk.
She wanted to discipline them for disobeying her.
From what she knew, drinking milk would not kill someone. At most, they would be too bloated to move, but that was it.
Without any recording device, she could retort by saying that the two of them disliked her, so they colluded to accuse her.
However, she did not expect that six-year-old children’s stomachs would be so weak. Drinking too much milk would leave signs of harm on their body!
Alice clutched the report and was silent for a very long time.
After a while, she looked up at Joshua’s face and broke out into loud sobs.
“Joshua, let me explain…“ She wiped her tears as she continued to sob, “I’ll admit that I wasn’t a good mother, but I have my reasons…“
Alice reached out and grabbed Joshua’s sleeve. “I thought that everything would be the same as I imagined it when I came back this time: You and I, in love, and we’111ive happily ever after with the kids. But, ever since I came back, everything has changed
Alice looked at Joshua with teary eyes. “You’ve never slept with me before. You’ve never even kissed me. You always said that you’re busy, that you’re working late, but I’d look for you in your office every night because I can’t sleep, and you’re not there.
“Previously, when you spent the whole night guarding Luna’s friend’s house, I was watching you from afar. Also, last night…“
Alice sniffled her nose aggrievedly. “Do you truly think I didn’t know where you were?“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
