Half an hour later, Kieran arrived at the Mossey residence and entered quietly.

Madelyn was drinking coffee and watching some television shows in the living room. When she spotted him, she welcomed him enthusiastically.

“You’re back, Mr. Kieran! Would you like to sit for a while before heading upstairs? Inez left early today. Looking at the time, I think she should be back soon.”

Picking up the hints that she had dropped, Kieran agreed, “Sure.”

He sat on the couch with his back straight and accepted the cup of coffee that she had passed him.

Ten minutes later, the police arrived before Inez did.

The Mossey family’s bodyguards escorted the policemen in, while Percy trailed behind with his hands in handcuffs.

When Madelyn saw that, she was confused. “W-What’s going on?”

The policemen nodded at her politely before approaching Kieran and informing him, “Mr. Kieran, you’re the greatest victim in Percy’s drugging incident. He wishes to apologize to you directly and seek your forgiveness, so we’ve brought him here. Are you willing to meet him?”

Kieran took a sip of the coffee elegantly, his expression as cold as before. He did not say anything.

Madelyn did not dare to utter a single word either.

Percy was so desperate to rush forward that the policemen had to hold him back to prevent him from pouncing at Kieran’s feet.

Kieran placed the coffee cup down calmly. “Wait a while.”
