Chapter 630 Deserves To Be Doted On
He’s draping a towel over me on this sweltering day devoid of a refreshing breeze because he’s afraid I’d catch a cold?
Sighing softly, Gwendolyn intertwined her hands and cradled her head, embracing the decision to not expose him.
Ten minutes later, the previously lively and bustling main swimming pool was cleared, and all the guests were relocated to the smaller pools.
For those who were hesitant to depart, the generous owner provided a full refund, essentially granting them a complimentary time of leisure.
It didn’t result in any loss for the guests, but the swift clearance of the main pool left many with waning enthusiasm.
The speedy clearing of the pool was noticeable to many residents of Turlen, and they could discern the presence of an influential figure among the two couples.
Yep, we can’t afford to offend them.
Cedrick concluded the massage for his beloved wife with a sense of accomplishment. “How about we head for a swim now, Gwenny?” he proposed.
Gwendolyn raised her heavy eyelids, almost surrendering to the blissful massage that had left her feeling drowsy.
Meanwhile, the man tenderly removed the towel, carefully turning her over and embracing her in his
arms.
Gracefully striding toward the pool with his long, muscular legs exposed, Cedrick carried his wife with pride and gently lowered her into the water.
In those fleeting ten minutes, the pool water had been swiftly replaced by the diligent staff, ensuring its pristine clarity.
The heat that lingered on her body dissipated as she immersed herself in the refreshing water. A sense of pure bliss washed over Gwendolyn, and she beckoned to Inez, who was still sulking on the lounge chair by the poolside.
“Come over here, Inez. How about we play a round of water polo?”
In response to Gwendolyn’s beckoning, Inez swiftly rose from her seat and gracefully lowered herself into the water, her hand delicately gripping the railing. Without casting a single glance at Kieran, who was engrossed in peeling grapes, she immersed herself in the pool.
“Come join us, Kieran!”
Kieran, being sufficiently tactful, finished the last grape, wiped his hand clean, and joined them in the
Water
Fueled by lingering resentment, Inez chose not to team up with Kieran, which resulted in Gwendolyn partnering with Inez, leaving the two gentlemen on the opposite side of the net.
As the game commenced, both men displayed their gentlemanly manners, allowing Gwendolyn the honor of serving the first ball.
She toyed with the ball in her hand and playfully addressed her brother, “You know me, Kieran. I ranked among the top three in national water polo competitions. If I were to defeat both of you, would it be considered shameful for you two? Well, I hope you won’t perceive it as an unfair advantage or as me taking advantage of newbies.”
Kieran paused, slightly startled.
Among the Harris siblings, it was Treyton who had been the standout in water polo, even earning a second-place ranking nationwide.
On the other hand, Kieran had always been dedicated to his studies and the pursuit of medicine, leaving him completely unfamiliar with the sport.
He couldn’t help but feel a tinge of embarrassment, knowing that he was about to face another potential defeat in front of Inez.
Just as he was thinking. Cedrick quickly picked up the conversation. “Darling, it appears that you haven’t had the pleasure of witnessing my water polo skills. How about we have a friendly competition and make a little wager?”
On the opposite side of the net, Inez chose to maintain her silence, knowing well that she was a novice in this game and not adept at playing.
Judging by their confident posture, it was clear that Gwendolyn and Cedrick were skilled players. I’d better not put myself on the spot by provoking them!
A charming smile tugged at the corners of Gwendolyn’s lips as she asked, “All right. What do you want to bet?”
In a deep and alluring tone, Cedrick proposed, “If I win, I’d like for you to grant me a one-minute underwater kiss.”
The other three individuals in the pool were momentarily taken aback, recognizing Cedrick’s knack for seizing opportunities to his advantage.
Though Kieran felt a touch of bashfulness, he couldn’t help but share in the anticipation of the underwater kiss mentioned by Cedrick. Joining in, he added, “I’ll wager the same as Cedrick.“
Gwendolyn glanced at the two men on the opposite side before settling her gaze on Cedrick’s handsome face. Her lips curved into a mischievous smile as she spoke.
“As for the exact terms of my wager, I haven’t quite made up my mind. But, Mr. Jenson, you should be prepared. If you happen to lose, you must be willing to accept whatever punishment or training I propose”
