Worship The Ground You Walk On novel Chapter 80

In the delicate private room, a potted aloe was growing vigorously with thorns on its edge, like a tiger in the cage preparing to show his sharp teeth.

Claudia was playing with the aloe and hearing Scott’s deep voice in a calm manner.

“I know it sounds foolish. After, the project is just designed for the Crawford Group by you. There isn’t really much of the chance for the other companies!”

Claudia was surprised and thrilled. She didn’t expect that this secret would be uncovered by him so easily.

“Besides,” Scott stared at her gently and looked deep down into her eyes, “I also know pretty much about you. Do you want to know…”

Claudia looked at him curiously.

He noticed that and said, “Like… How did you become a mute fifteen years ago?”

“And how did you love a man devotedly but only received betrayal in return?”

Scott looked at her teasingly with a mysterious smile.

“Am I right, Claudia? Do you want to hear more?”

Claudia was in a panic.

This man was not only as aggressive as Ben but also had the ability to read her mind!

Scott had known too much!

He knew all these secrets she had been hiding!

“Are you surprised about me knowing all of these?” he asked rhetorically.

Claudia’s eyelashes started to quiver slightly. She would be speechless now even if she could speak.

She felt like he could see through what was hidden in her heart. Thinking about this, she couldn’t help but shiver.

“Don’t worry, I haven't told anyone about these yet,” he explained, “But I’m not sure that I’m the only one who knows your secrets.”

But Claudia just watching him at a loss.

Scott stood up and moved close to her. Then, he stroked her face gently and smiled.

He put his arm on the table and rested his chin on his hand. “Are you curious about how do I know all of these?” he lowered his head and gazed at her.

Claudia nodded quickly.

She did not have to deny now. He wouldn’t believe it anyway.

In fact, he was quite pleased about her honesty and kept smiling attractively.

“You have been loving a person for a long time, right? Then you must know, that you can know everything about a person if you have been loving him long enough.”

If you love someone, you would care much about him. On the other hand, if you care much about somebody, you would generally be fond of him.

Sometimes, even Scott himself couldn’t figure out how did he actually feel about her.

Did he love her? Or he was just interested in her?

He looked into Claudia’s eyes.

The answer was ambiguous.

“I like you, Claudia,” he said frankly.

Scott put a chair on her side and sat down. He blinked his eyes, which were shining like obsidian, “So, no matter what you are going to do, I will be on your side.”

“Save your breath, Scott!” Claudia smiled. She grabbed her bag and walked straight to the entrance.

Suffering a defeat, Scott was sitting in there blankly.

It was the first time he failed in winning a woman’s heart!

Claudia, Miss S.

You got me pretty good!

When she walked out of the tea house, she didn’t take a taxi immediately. She wanted to take a walk on this cool summer afternoon.

When she was rambling on the pavement, her phone rang. She took a look at the new message and frowned, calling a taxi to Central Hospital.

In the hospital, she walked past the maternity ward and was reminded that there was only a few birth control pills left at home, so she walked into it and found the director.

Expressing her purpose to him, the director said worriedly, “Mrs. Clawford, the pill is too harmful to your body. According to your health condition, I suggest you stop using it!”

Claudia smiled bitterly. Of course, she knew it was harmful, but it was his request…

“Why don’t you ask Mr. Crawford to take some measure?” the director suggested.

She frowned and felt awkward.

He knew Claudia didn’t have much of a choice and wrote the prescription for her eventually.

Claudia was about to get the medicine, but once she left the ward a tall man blocked her path and held her arm, grabbing the prescription from her hand.

It was Marshall.
