Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 128

The man looked at her rarely obedient behavior. His strong body enveloping her small physique.

“Ahh…” As he leaned forward, he accidentally hurt her back which had not recovered. She cried out in pain.

At this instant, a strong electric current attacked Monique’s brain. With her cheeks burning red, her heart pumping like a running rabbit, she could not think or reason as her panicking instinct took over and pushed Henry off the bed. To make her action seem less awkward, she inappropriately yelled, “rogue!”

Henry did not see that coming as he was pushed off the bed. His manly brows slightly twitched, exuding an air of coldness as his Adam’s apple slid slightly.

Her voice was soft, like a snowflake slipping in his heart, and its coldness was unbearable. Henry suddenly recalled that she hurt her back yesterday. His handsome face darkened into a look of confusion, as he really did not know what to do. He had never felt this way before. All he wanted to do was to flirt with her a little, but now he was confused by his own action. Dangerously confused. His chest was burning with guilt, as he glanced at the small figure beside Monique that was pushed to the side by him. Little Nomi was there, and Monique was hurt. Instantly, he sat up and walked into the bathroom for a cold shower.

Upon seeing his figure going away, Monique let out a long sigh of relief. Damn it, what was she thinking? She felt her burning cheeks with her hand, utterly ashamed.

Damn it, was she cursed?

She stared at the ceiling wide eyed. She did not notice when Henry got out from the shower. It was until when he got in the bed that she snapped out from her shock. She turned to see a tall and strong man laying beside her; his face handsome like a royal, his contour refined like his brows and straight nose. His lips were thick and pinkish. An alluring face with perfectly portioned features. Under the dimmed light, his cold and proud looks during the days disappeared, while a boyish look took over, exuding a youthful and handsome charm.

By then, he already covered himself with the blanket, his alluring eyes tightly shut without glancing at her, unperturbed by her questioning gaze, as if nothing happened earlier that it was all in her head.

Was it just a dream? Monique pinched her fair and skinny arm. Ouch!

It was not a dream!

Then, what just happened? What was happening in the past few days?

She was inexplicably forced to pay off a debt of clothing, she was somehow kidnapped, then he saved her, and asked her to repay him by staying by his side, and in the morning, he promised to take good care of Little Nomi?

Was she falling for him? When? When he saved her? Or was it when he brought her lunch? Or was it when he promised to take good care of Little Nomi?
