“Alright, thanks, Mrs. Lee.” Monique smiled.

Mrs. Lee noticed the slight glint of disappointment in her eyes, unlike a few days ago when she kept her distance from Henry, today she seemed disappointed not having him around. It was obvious to Mrs. Lee because she watched Henry grow, she knew him well enough to know that he had more of a smile on his face when Monique and Little Nomi were around. The loving looks on him had not been seen after his mother passed away.

Mrs. Lee also took note of how he took great care of the two of them in the past few days. Being born into a wealthy family, he had never had to take care of anyone, thus seeing him going through such lengths to take care of them both pleased Mrs. Lee. If this woman was willing to stay by his side wholeheartedly, Henry would be happier. With that in mind, Mrs. Lee liked Monique even more.

“You must be hungry, I’ve prepared some breakfast, come and have some.” Mrs. Lee smiled, as she reached out and held on Monique’s hand like her own daughter.

Monique was caught off guard, she wanted to turn down and wait for Little Nomi to wake up, but she could not say no to the kindness shown to her, so she followed Mrs. Lee to the dining table.

After she sat down, Mrs. Lee went into the kitchen to bring out the breakfast, “I’ve made some porridge, have it with some cereals, it’s good for your body. Here’s some fresh milk and fruits, I’ll bring them out for you. I don’t know what you like, but you could tell me in advance so I can prepare them for you next time.”

Monique was overwhelmed by the kindness shown to her. Ever since Grandpa passed away, nobody had asked her what she liked to eat. She nodded with gratitude and a warm smile.

“Enjoy your breakfast, I’ll go do some chores. When Little Nomi is up, call me out so I can help her wash.” Mrs. Lee said with a loving smile.

“Mommy, Mrs. Lee!” Little Nomi chirped as she hopped down the stairs. “Mrs. Lee, I can shower myself already!”

“Oh, Little Nomi is so amazing!” Mrs. Lee smiled, the little girl was taught well, she was very sensible and well-behaved. She was also very pretty, just like a beautiful flower! When she thought that this beautiful girl was Henry’s daughter, she could not help the warm smile spreading through her lips.
