“Is there a problem?” Henry’s eyebrows twitched, exuding an air of eeriness.
Shaun fixed his black-rimmed glasses, and mumbled, “Chair…Chairman Moore, please take good care of your health, it’s getting late!”
There was no big project recently to stay back till so late. Of course, Shaun did not say that out loud. He was already trembling inside for what he said before. Let alone telling him off for staying back when there was no big project going on at the moment.
Henry merely glanced at Shaun coldly without saying a word.
Shaun instantly regretted what he said earlier. He stood in front of him awkwardly, Henry did not ask him to leave, so he wanted to leave but had no courage to. His legs were shaking terribly, and just as he was about to faint from the suspension in the air, Henry coldly said, “Go home.”
This sounded like music to his ears, “I’ll get the car right away.”
Henry nodded. He had not seen Monique for two days.
Shaun ran straight from the office to the garage underground and waited for Henry outside the lobby. Henry went down not long after, but his face was cold and emotionless, with a hint of tiresome.
On the way home, his eyes were shut as he tried to get some rest, but he could not fall asleep. He did not know why either. Perhaps he could only fall asleep next to Monique. But why? That was strange! With these thoughts, he became agitated.
