You More Than Anything In The World novel Chapter 1212

Arissa glanced at Regan and said flatly, “I'm fine!”

Regan nodded in response. “I'm glad to hear that.”

He looked at Arissa and took a peek at Benjamin. “I'm relieved that you're doing well.”

Arissa frowned. She understood Regan's personality like the back of her hand—he could act shamelessly to a great extent.

When she saw how Regan came to look for her in such a disguise, she knew he was up to no good. Yet, Arissa did not take the initiative to ask him what he needed.

After all, she had cut all ties with her father and did not want anything to do with the York family, as their greed knew no bounds. If Arissa was at her lowest, Regan might not even want to look at her.

Benjamin was by Arissa's side, glaring fixedly at Regan. The former's attitude was evident in where he stood.

When Regan saw that both of them were silent, he cleared his throat and bit the bullet by asking Arissa, “Issa, there have been some issues with our company. Many of our business partners have terminated our agreements. Can you please speak to my son-in-law about this matter?”

Regan cautiously glanced at Benjamin. The former did not dare to plead with Benjamin on his own.

Arissa understood what was happening. Placidly, she said, “You should look for those who terminated your contracts and sue them! Why are you coming to us? What does that have to do with my husband?”

Regardless of whether or not the matter had anything to do with Benjamin, Arissa expressed clearly that she did not want to help.

“Benjamin, y-you know about this matter, right?” Even though Regan was sure that Benjamin was behind his business being in trouble, he was helpless as he had no evidence to prove it.

“Benjamin, y-you know about this matter, right?” Even though Regan was sure that Benjamin was behind his business being in trouble, he was helpless as he had no evidence to prove it.

“You've disregarded my words. I've already shown mercy by not acquiring your company!” Benjamin did not deny it as he glared at Regan without showing any emotions.

“Benjamin, at the end of the day, we're a family. It's only beneficial if we remain harmonious with one another. Your actions have caused my company to cease its operations. Can you please allow them to continue to work with us?” Regan anxiously wiped the cold sweat rolling down his forehead.

If Benjamin acquires my company, I'll lose everything! And I know he is perfectly capable of doing that.

“Issa... please persuade Benjamin. If he spares my company, I promise I'll never bother you anymore!”

Arissa did not sympathize with the panicking Regan, but she wasn't gleeful about the situation either.

She did not blame Benjamin for what he did. Instead, she was rather touched that he targeted Regan because of her.

“It's your problem that others do not want to work with you. What does it have to do with my husband? Go figure it out yourself! I can't help you. My husband has his freedom in his choices, so there's no use even if you beg me!”

“A-Are you that unwilling to help me? Do you really want to see the company go bankrupt?” Regan was dismayed by Arissa's indifference. She must help the company! “What good does it do for you if the company goes out of business?”

Although you and Benjamin are in a good place right now, it would not benefit you if our family went bankrupt. Even though the York family is not comparable to the Graham family, we are still considered a prestigious family in Dellmoor and should not be in such a slump. If our family goes bankrupt, and Benjamin's feelings for you fade in the future, could you still have a good life in the Graham family?

These words were running through Regan's mind, but he dared not say them out loud to Arissa in front of Benjamin.

“Even if the company doesn't go bankrupt, it still doesn't benefit me!”

Arissa glanced faintly at Regan. It did not bother her whether York Group went bankrupt or not, as she had nothing to do with the company.

“You...” Regan was getting desperate.

Then, a hint of slyness flickered in Arissa's eyes. “How about you transfer your shares to me? Maybe I'll be interested in keeping York Group afloat by then.”

Regan's face fell. How dare you go after my company's shares, you unfilial daughter?

Seeing Regan's unwillingness to do so, Arissa sneered.

“Let's be honest here. I know you're not willing to do so. But why would I help you if you're not giving me something in return?”
