“No biggie. It’s just a short walk away.” Ariana gave Selena a look, hinting at her to take it easy. 

Despite feeling upset, Selena still walked with Ariana to see Fiona to her class. 

The professor had not arrived yet, but the classroom was already packed with students. 

Ariana and Selena saw Flona to the classroom. At the entrance, Fiona deliberately paused to chat with Ariana. 

Upon seeing that, her classmates started to speculate about her background. 

They thought Fiona was a countryside bumpkin, but they were surprised to learn that she was Ariana’s cousin and that they had a close relationship. 

Besides, Brian had called for Fiona in the morning. These incidents combined made them realize that Fiona might have hailed from an impressive background. 

Once Fiona entered the classroom, Selena hissed indignantly, “Why did you help Fiona? She’s using your name to boost her social status! I’ve seen many girls who acted like that!” 

Selena had immediately seen through Fiona’s little trick, and she believed Ariana must have noticed too. 

“Well, I’m not doing this to help Fiona. I just need her to keep Brian in check.” Ariana didn’t want Brian to learn about her private dealings with Victor–that would invite serious trouble because Lodge Co. would certainly attempt to undercut Torrey Co. 

A headache crept upon Ariana when she thought of that possibility. 

In her past life, she had shamelessly thrown herself at Brian, yet he didn’t even give her a look. 

Ironically, Brian now refused to let go of her when she tried to leave him. 

How ridiculous! 

“Look! Mr. Lodge is here!” 

“That’s him! Why is he here again? He’s been visiting the campus quite often these days.” 

“I guess he’s here to meet with Evelyn. Rumors had it that they were fighting. That’s why he’s on campus to look for her.” 

“That’s wrong! He was here a few times to look for Ariana, 

“I thought he hated Ariana!” 

The students whispered to each other in the corridor. Ariana and Selena stood before the windows and watched Brian approach with his massive entourage. 

Even Selena was taken aback. “Why is Brian Lodge always showing up? Does he have too much free time on his hands? Is that why he’s always finding fault with you? 

“What could I do? I’m sure he’s here to confront me,” replied Ariana, surprised at the speed at which Brian acted. 

He had arrived on campus with his entourage right after she got back. 

Selena volunteered, “Let’s go! I’ll fight the battle with you! 

“Come back!”
