Selena spoke loud enough for Brian to overlear. Looking sullen, he recalled having said the same about Ariana back when she had been following him around. 

When Selena saw Brian, she boldly said to him, “Mr. Lodge, Ari is trying to attend her classes. What are you doing, looking for her on campus? Are you her guardian or what?! 

Ariana frowned, looking displeased about Brian. “Mr. Lodge, it’s not right to follow me around. Don’t you have anything better to do? All you do is find trouble with me. Do you know you’re a nuisance?” 

These words sounded familiar to him. His expression darkened further. 

Ariana still remembered her past life vividly. 

Back then, she would deliver lunches to Brian, but he would keep his distance, leaving her trailing behind in her high heels. Exhausted and struggling to keep up, she would face his cold disdain.

Brian swallowed his anger and said to Ariana, “I told you to make breakfast for me this morning. Where were you? 

“Brian, you have a housekeeper at home, and you’re not paying me a salary. On what grounds are you demanding ! cook for you?” Ariana replied calmly. “Besides, I’m a student. I have classes to attend. Surely, Brian, you’re aware of that, right? Yet you still ask where I’ve been.” 

“Is that so?” Brian’s voice turned icy as if he’d caught her in a lie. “Were you really at school, or were you booking a hotel room with Victor?”

“Getting a hotel room?” 

Selena shot Ariana a sidelong glance, her expression amused, thinking, “Really? Did she actually do that? What an absolute legend!” 

Ariana frowned and asked, “Brian, you need to have evidence before throwing around these accusations. Who told you I was getting a hotel room with Victor?”
