Just as Ariana was about to slip past Brian, he reached out and grabbed her arm. 

Ariana glanced at his hand on her arm and frowned. “Mr. Ledge, please be mindful. I didn’t sign my body away to the Lodge family.” 

With that, she led Selena away without another word. 

Brian was momentarily stunned by her remark. 

Beside him, Emily couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Lodge, could we have misunderstood Ms. Torrey?” 

Brian clenched his fists tightly. 

Misunderstanding or not, Ariana’s attitude just now left him feeling deeply annoyed. 

“Go and ask Fiona what’s really going on!”

“Go ahead if you want to celebrate Igor’s birthday. Why are you asking me?”
