Only Ariana had slapped him again and again. Only she dared to do that. 

“Mr. Lodge…” 

Emily entered the office and said, “Ms. Torrey knocked over the decorative plant by the entrance as she left.” 

“Let her knock it over.” 

“What?” Emily was taken aback.

Brian wiped at the blood where Ariana had bitten his lip. “Go to the Torrey residence and bring Ariana back here. Tell her I said she isn’t allowed to go anywhere without my permission.” 

“Mr. Lodge, that might not be a good idea. What if she leaves again? That would only make you look bad.” 

The last time Ariana left, Brian threw out all her belongings in anger. Going back to fetch her now would be embarrassing enough. If Evelyn learned about this, it could blow i up. 

Brian said, “I told you to do it. Are you going to defy me?” 

“Certainly not.” Emily quickly lowered her head. 

Brian said, “Ariana is my fiancée. I want her to live with me. Is there a problem?” 

“No.” 

“Then get going. Don’t make me say it three times!” 

“Yes, Mr. Lodge.” Emily quickly left. 

Brian rubbed his brow. Only then did he realize his lip hurt. When he touched it, he realized Ariana had bitten him, hard. 

Is that woman a dog? She was always biting people. 

But when Brian thought about it, he didn’t feel he had done anything wrong. Wasn’t it perfectly fine to kiss his own fiancée? 

Everything Ariana did was just to get his attention. She liked him. That was why she went out of her way to make him angry. 

That had to be it. She was probably secretly pleased that he had kissed her. 

Brian paced back and forth in his office, lost in thought. 

Sometime later, Emily returned to the office. 

Seeing him still–restlessly pacing, she asked, “Mr. Lodge, I already spoke to the Torrey family. Do you…” 

Which is better for an apology, roses or lilies?” 

“What?” Emily didn’t quite understand. 

Brian’s expression was cold as he said, “Even though everything I did was within my rights as her fiancé, it’s not right to go against a woman’s will. Order some flowers and send them to Arlana as my apology.” 

“Mr. Lodge, I’m afraid Ms. Torrey might not accept them…
