Chapter 232
Such a serious incident calls for expulsion!”
“I’m in favor of expulsion too.”
The teachers raised their hands one after the other.
Meanwhile, Maddie was waiting anxiously for news. She was sweating all over from nervousness.
In the classroom, Maddie clung to Evelyn’s arm and asked, Evelyn, do you think they’ll actually expel me? Will they really kick me out?”
Lila tried to calm her. “Maddie, don’t freak out. You just accidentally stepped on her hand. They can’t expel you for that. Besides, Evelyn must have already talked to Mr. Lodge for you. I’m sure they’ll just let it drop.”
As she finished speaking, Lila glanced at Evelyn, who had remained silent. “Evelyn, isn’t that right?”
Evelyn forced an awkward smile. She had never asked Brian for help with Maddie.
Yesterday, she was rushed to the hospital, only to be questioned by Brian. She hadn’t even managed to settle her own problems, let alone fix someone else’s.
Still, stepping on Ariana’s hand didn’t sound like a big deal, so Evelyn decided to take the credit anyway. She said, “I talked to Brian yesterday. Don’t worry, Maddie. You’ll be fine.”
Hearing that, Maddie let out a sigh of relief.
.Ariana wasn’t anyone important anyway. Wasn’t her engagement to the Lodge family canceled?
She had no standing left at Glea College. She was bound to be bullied.
It was just a stomp on the hard. No way they’d make it a big deal, and the university probably wouldn’t take it too seriously either.
Maddie felt a weight lift from her chest. She was so relieved to have chosen the right allies. If Evelyn had stepped in, there was no reason to worry.
Suddenly, there was the sound of many footsteps in the hallway. They looked out to see William approach the classroom in a well–tailored suit.
He wore gold–rimmed glasses and moved with an air of calin grace. Behind him were a dozen elite bodyguards, as well as his personal secretary and two special assistants.
It was a spectacle that drew everyone’s attention.
“Look, it’s Mr. Kingsman!”
“Why did Mr. Kingsman come to this floor all of a sudden?”
“He’s probably here for Evelyn. Didn’t people say he thinks highly of Evelyn, who’s a top student?”
Inside the classroom, several students gathered around Evelyn.
“Evelyn, you’re so lucky. Not only does Mr. Lodge like you, but Mr. Kingsman pays special attention to you too.”
