Chapter 264
Ariana had written down the recipes to make sure she wouldn’t forget them.
But a few days ago, she threw them away, and Gwen picked them up.
“How is it? Is it tasty?”
Fiona was confident in her cooking. She believed it wouldn’t be worse than Ariana’s.
She thought she had Brian’s tastes covered. But he put down his fork and said coldly, “Take your food and get out.”
Fiona froze. “Mr. Lodge, is it not good?”
Impossible. These were Ariana’s original recipes. There couldn’t be anything wrong.
She had even copied Ariana’s plating. How could this be? Did Ariana have some kind of secret recipe?
“Didn’t you hear me?” Brian’s gaze grew colder.
Fiona felt uneasy under his stare. “M–Mr. Lodge…
“You’re imitating someone else, huh? What do you

want?”
“You want to act like Ariana while you’re pretending to be Evelyn, so you can please me? Or do you want more than that?”
“No… No…”
He saw right through Fiona, and she looked more and more distressed.
“Leave!”
Brian’s face was dark.
Fiona was so scared that she quickly gathered up the dishes and hurried away.
When she ran out, Brian couldn’t help but think of Ariana. He remembered every cautious thing Ariana did back
then.
At the time, he believed Ariana had ulterior motives, so he never believed in her so–called affection. He was sure she only wanted to gain something from him. He still thought so today.
But
just now, while tasting Fiona’s food, he kept picturing Ariana. The dishes were almost the same, but he felt they didn’t taste right.
The problem wasn’t the dishes themselves. It was the fact at a different person was cooking them.
Brian leaned back on the couch and rubbed his temples. He had no idea why Ariana was stuck in his head so much these days. She was affecting his work. He couldn’t let that happen.
He quickly dialed Emily’s number.
“Mr. Lodge.”
“Has the expert team arrived at City Hospital?”
They had arrived.”
Chapter 264
“Don’t tell me anything more about Ariana. Once she’s recovered, I want to cut ties with her completely.”
On the other end, Emily paused in surprise.
