Chapter 340
Halfway through Evelyn’s speech, a familiar conversation started to play from Brian’s computer.
“Ah! Eve, what are you doing?” Julia screamed in the recording.
Evelyn’s voice came through the speaker. “That injury of yours looks serious, but let’s face it–it’s just a minor scrape. We have no choice but to make it look worse so we can convince the dean to make Ariana drop out of school.
“Julia, I know I’m asking too much of you, but I’m sure you’ll understand because we’re friends. Am I right?”
Evelyn’s expression fell when she heard the sounds from the footage.
Then, she heard the footage of her conversation with Christopher last evening
“Evelyn–our dear predent of the student council–I’ve made the library look into the security footage
regarding the trouble Ariana started today, and we confirmed that she had struck first.
“I’ve ordered Mr. Stewart to get Ariana to drop out of school. You have nothing to worry about now.”
“Right. Thank you for upholding justice, Mr. Gail.”
Evelyn’s face paled when she heard the recordings.
Brian lamented, “Eve, I gave you a chance, but you refused to take it.”
After that, he picked up the phone. She immediately realized he was about to call Christopher.
She hurried over and grabbed his arm. “Brian, you can’t do this to me! You promised not to let anyone bully me!”
“I promised to protect you while you’re in Gleaston, but that doesn’t mean I condone your behavior that hurts others.” Staring coldly at Evelyn, he stated, “Eve, you need to shoulder the consequences of your actions.”
“I’m barred from the country! If the college expels me, how am I supposed to keep my head up in Gleaston? Brian, just pretend you are in the dark for my sake.”
She shot him a begging look.
Evelyn was prideful. If people heard about her underhanded, vile tactics against Ariana, her kind and angelic public image would be shattered.
“Let go of me,” Brian uttered coldly as though he was warning Evelyn.
She released his arm under his frosty gaze.
“Brian, you’re pushing me to the edge. You can’t do this to me,” she bit her lip.
“If going abroad is what you wish, I can help you. But you can’t study at Glea College anymore.” Brian refused to budge.
Evelyn snapped, “I’m not leaving for abroad! I’ll graduate from Glea College! If you don’t agree to it, I’ll kill myself before you now!”
With that, she snatched a carving knife from the table and pressed it against her wrist.
His expression steeled. He hated being threatened, especially when people threatened to take their lives.

Emily entered Brian’s office upon hearing the commotion, thought that Evelyn would threaten Brian in this manner.
