Chapter 348
Chapter 348
Ariana gritted her teeth as she opened the car door.
Seeing her furious look, Victor remarked, “Ms. Torrey, you’re so ungrateful. You called me your teacher a few days ago, but now you’ve turned your back on me.”
“Mr. Smith, I admit that your car is incredibly luxurious and expensive, but could you please stop parking it right in front of the school gate every time? It’s not a good look.” Ariana huffed.
“What’s wrong with it?” Victor cocked a brow.
“It’s bad for my reputation,” Ariana added.
Victor shrugged. “I only do what’s convenient and beneficial for me. I’ve never cared for someone else’s
reputation.”
“You…” No wonder this man had clashed with Brian in the past lives.
Ariana held back.
What else could she do? Pick a fight with him?
She would end up dead if she did.
Her mind instantly ran through different ways she might meet her end at Victor’s hands.
In the end, she chose patience.
Victor asked, “How did the exam go?”
“Thanks to you, it was perfect.” Ariana smiled.
Victor hummed and nodded. “Give me your left hand.”
“What for?” Ariana asked, but her left hand was already reaching out toward Victor.
Victor placed an ointment in her palm.
Ariana glanced at the ointment, finding it somewhat familiar. She had seen it somewhere before.
Then, it hit her. This was the specially developed ointment Brian had ordered for her.
“Where did you get this?” She remembered that the ointment wasn’t available on the market. Brian had specifically commissioned it for her injury, meaning even money couldn’t buy the formula.
Victor replied nonchalantly, “Simon gave it to you.”
“Oh.” Ariana figured as much. A cold–hearted man like Victor would never give her anything.
Victor instructed, “Apply this three times a day for a month and it should heal completely.”
“Is it that effective? Wouldn’t that make it even better than what Brian originally gave me?” Ariana examined the ointment.
Victor cast her a look. “Don’t compare my things to his.”
Ariana was stunned. She turned to look at Victor, but he was no longer looking at her.
Don’t compare what was his to Brian’s?

Well, of course. They were mortal enemies. Classic rival behavior.
Ariana stuffed the ointment into her pocket. “Dr. Finch is a good man. I should thank himn properly.”
