Chapter 351
“The last time I threw you onto the bed, did your waist…” Victor started.
“No! Absolutely not!” Ariana’s eyes widened dramatically.
Was Victor being serious? Did he actually think about putting medicine on her waist too?
Victor frowned at Ariana’s resistance. He didn’t understand what she was trying to express.
For Victor, applying medicine was just that. Gender wasn’t part of the equation.
But clearly, Ariana didn’t share the same sentiment.
It may be medicine, but men and women should still keep their distance.
“Mr. Smith, Dr. Finch just called and asked if we needed some vegetables since tonight’s meal might have a lot of meat.” Hunter popped in.
“No need, just follow Ms. Torrey’s menu.” Victor hummed
“Understood.” Hunter nodded.
Ariana remembered Simon saying Victor wasn’t fond of meaty dishes like her. She thought back to Victor’s minimalist hotel setup and how he always ate bland meals at home.
She couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Smith, do you have some kind of masochistic tendencies?”
Victor looked up at her.
Afraid that he might misunderstand, Ariana quickly added, ‘I mean, aren’t big shots like you who rule the overseas business world supposed to enjoy gourmet food? But from what I see, you seem to be living quite frugally.”
Ariana was being kind. Anyone else would probably describe his lifestyle as downright poor.
For someone as wealthy as Victor, his villa shouldn’t be this bare. There were little to no decorations, the fridge was stocked only with instant food, and the rooms barely had any furniture.
The villa wasn’t large for a city–center home, but the lack of furnishings made it feel incredibly spacious.
Ariana was almost certain that the previous owner couldn’t sell this villa, so they offloaded it at a dirt–cheap price to Victor. She even suspected that Victor bought this place not just because it was secluded but also because it was. cheap.
But considering this was the same man who had casually spent a billion to acquire land, surely he had plenty of better options when it came to choosing a home. There was no reason for him to pick this old villa.
“I don’t care much about material things. Sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, Ms. Torrey.” Victor clearly misunderstood her. He stood up, not interested in continuing the conversation.
Ariana wanted to explain, but Victor had already turned and headed upstairs.
“What a temper…” All she did was ask a simple question, yet Victor immediately teased her about being pampered before walking away.
Upstairs, Hunter saw Victor coming alone and asked, “Your room is ready. Will Ms. Torrey be staying over tonight?
“No,” Victor said coldly as he disappeared into his room.
