“I’d suggest you buckle up unless you want a concussion.” Victor huffed 

“You!” Ariana fastened her seatbelt without hesitation. 

The police hadn’t expected him to break through their blockade. 

As soon as Victor sped onto the main road, more patrol cars swarmed in, encircling him again. The sudden roadblock caused a massive traffic jam. 

This was the busiest area of the city center. If things escalated, the incident would be all over the news the next day. 

Seeing the flashing lights and blaring horns, Ariana knew she was doomed. She regretted ever getting involved 

with Victor. 

Car horns blared as frustrated drivers honked at Victor’s car, demanding he move. Meanwhile, officers were preparing to force open the car door. 

Ariana was nervous. She could only hope this wouldn’t turn into a major media spectacle.

Brian glared at her. “Why are you even asking? Do it immediately!” 

He stood up at once. Things would spiral out of control if news got out. 

What the hell was Ariana thinking? Did she not realize how serious this was? 

At the Police Station, the police chief shot up from his chair “What? Whose car did they block? Ms. Torrey’s? 

“Understood! I’ll handle it right away!” After hanging up, the chief didn’t even grab his jacket before rushing out. 

“Tell them they can’t use force under any circumstances! I’m on my way.” He barked the order before speeding toward the scene. 

The road had turned into utter chaos. 

Ariana quickly realized that Victor had done this on purpose 

“What exactly are you trying to do?” Her expression darkened. “You’re setting us up. Do you want to make the news?”
