A Healer’s Journey (Finnegan and Nuthana) Novel novel Chapter 291

Chapter 291 Suffer A Double Loss

All along, Finnegan knew something was amiss.

That was why, after arriving at the Zimmerman residence, Finnegan was constantly on guard around Millicent and her group. Therefore, when they offered him a toast, he deliberately agreed, using it as an excuse to drink more/

He simply wanted to see what kind of scheme they were really up to.

However, he never expected that this was their plan.

All along, their plan was to get Queenie to sleep with Finnegan and snatch him away from Bernice.

That was not just despicable. It was downright maniacal.

Queenie was shocked. “You’re not drunk?”

“What do you think?” Finnegan found women like Queenie, who clearly didn’t want to but still bowed their heads in compromise, both pitiable and detestable.

In an instant, Queenie understood it all. “You never believed that my grandma and the others would sincerely apologize to you, did you? You’ve been wary of us from the start? Even pretending to be drunk to

test us?”

Finnegan reached out and turned on the bedside lamp.

The sudden brightness made Queenie blush deeply, and she quickly shielded herself with one hand.

With a meaningful glance, Finnegan realized that he and Queenie were almost touching each other.

A playful smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. “Since you already know, why aren’t you hurrying down? You should be aware that even if you sit on me now, it’s pointless. I won’t mistake my drunkenness for having slept with you!”

In other words, even if Queenie continued to dedicate herself, she wouldn’t get what she desired.

Instead, it would result in the needless sacrifice of her body.

Despite a moment’s hesitation, Queenie still showed no intention of leaving.

Instead, she lowered her hand and said, “Finnegan, I’m no worse than Bernice. If you can accept Bernice, why can’t you accept me? I think I’m better than Bernice!”

As she spoke, Queenie lay on Finnegan’s body. Despite her obvious nervousness, she feigned calm. “Besides, it’s clear that you have feelings for me. Why keep denying it?”

And having Queenie lying on top of him like that, it would be a lie if Finnegan said he didn’t enjoy it.

However, his gaze remained clear. “What gives you the confidence to think you’re better than my wife? You can’t even match her in terms of self-respect and self-love. She knows how to refuse unreasonable demands, something you can’t do! As for having feelings for you…”

Chapter 291 Suffer A Double LoSS

Finnegan wrapped his arms tightly around Queenie’s waist.

With a mischievous smile, he said, “Isn’t this a normal reaction for a normal man? But for me, you’re just someone who can trigger my primal instincts, nothing more!”

With that, Finnegan swung his arm. trying to free himself from Queenie’s grip. But Queenie, still intent on restraining Finnegan, let out a sharp scream as she tumbled to the ground.

The carpet on the ground prevented her from getting hurt from the fall.

Yet, that only served to infuriate and embarrass her. “Finnegan. I didn’t expect you to pretend to be drunk. But what do you think would happen to you and Bernice if I were to shout right now?”

Finnegan sat up, looking at Queenie with interest. “Are you trying to threaten me?”

“So what if I threaten you?” Queenie knew that the plan of sleeping with him could no longer continue. but she had a new plan. “Now, if Bernice comes in and sees this, do you think she will believe you or me?”

Finnegan nodded. “That seems about right. If you were to shout now, ninety-nine percent of people would probably think I have ill intentions toward you. But…”

With that. Finnegan picked up his phone from the side and showed the screen to Queenie. “I had the foresight to start recording on my phone before you walked in. Do you still think you can stir up trouble between me and Bernie?”

Seeing the recording symbol on the screen, Queenie, who originally planned to threaten Finnegan, suddenly changed her expression. Instinctively, she rushed toward Finnegan. “Give me your phone!”

If Finnegan were to expose the recording, she would be completely ruined, and Millicent and her group would also be subjected to ridicule.

After all, they actually encouraged her to seduce Bernice’s man.

With a cold laugh, Finnegan switched off the recording Lifting his leg, he kicked Queenie, sending her sprawling on the ground.

Obviously, a frail girl couldn’t possibly withstand a kick from Finnegan.

Queenie grunted and fell to the ground, clutching his stomach, gasping for air but unable to exhale. His forehead was instantly drenched in cold sweat.

Tossing his phone on the bed. Finnegan squatted down in front of her, patting her face gently. “You clearly don’t want to, yet you still listen to your grandma and the others. You really don’t deserve any sympathy! Since it’s come to this, I have no choice but to beat you at your own game. You’ll learn what it means to suffer a double loss and what it means to suffer a silence.”

Queenie’s face turned pale as she tried to call for help, but Finnegan had already sealed her mute acupoint, rendering her unable to make a sound.

At that moment, Queenie completely panicked, shaking her head incessantly.

She wouldn’t mind sleeping with Finnegan, but that was only if she could benefit from it afterward.

However, it was clear to her that she could no longer gain anything from Finnegan.

her on so easily.

Grabbing her by the hair, he headed toward the bathroom. “Don’t worry. I’m just going to teach you a little lesson. I won’t take your life.”

With a thud, the bathroom door closed, leaving only a vague view of the pair through the frosted glass door.

That went on for nearly half an hour, and the sound of the shower came from the bathroom.

A few minutes passed, and Finnegan emerged, wiping his body with a towel. Behind him, sitting on the floor, was Queenie, her eyes filled with tears and her face etched with humiliation.

Dressed in his clothes, Finnegan turned his head to look at her.

A faint smirk played at the corner of his mouth. “You’ve learned your lesson now, haven’t you? This is what they call suffering a double loss. And you’d better keep your mouth shut. That’s what they call suffering in silence!”

With that, Finnegan gave a hearty laugh, opened the door, and walked out.
