Chapter 116
Darius POV
“There’s no need lurking around my gates anymore. You’ll find your mate back in your home,”
I notified Ryker. He looked up from his crouched position with a hard glare on his face.
You played me,” he growled.
“No, Ryker. You got played. There’s a difference. Why? Because nobody played you. Now, stop being a fucking crybaby and get the hell out of my pack. You’re scaring my people.”
He laughed. “I just found out the bitch I let into my castle was your ex–wife. You had this all planned,”
I clicked my tongue. “I love taking credits but I wouldn’t take credit for this one. After you kidnapped my mate, my ex–wife found out who you kidnapped and reached out to me. See, that’s why I said you played yourself,”
He growled again, I moved towards him.
“Run home. Don’t keep your dear mate waiting. It’s not like she fancies seeing you anyways,”
He menacingly moved towards me at a slow, threatening pace
“You have no right to talk about my mate like that,”
“Be careful, Ryker. When the woman you’re supposed to love isn’t your biggest fan, you tend to not have secrets because she’ll always find a way to make friends with your enemies. Tread carefully
He pointed at me. This isn’t over,”
“I’ll transfer the money my father collected from you back to your account. Let that be the end of your request for my Pack. If it happens again, TII find you in your hole and smoke you out,”
“I’m stepping down for the sake of my mate, not for anything else. She doesn’t deserve to be dragged into this crap between us. I hope I don’t get to see your face again in this lifetime.”
The fact that Ryker stepped down because of his mate kind of got to me. Ryker never had a kryptonite. Not even the death of his parents moved him but the woman he loved made him so much less stubborn.
“And I don’t need your fucking money,” he said as he got to his car
“If only wishes were horses. Keep it!”
I commanded.
I waited outside the gates for!
him to leave with his men. He’d waited all night right in front of the gates. I’d thought he’d left until Azalea informed me that he was still right there where I left him.
He didn’t go look for Angela like he’d promised. Maybe he waited for me to join him or maybe he was too stressed about the idea of his mare being in danger to walk away.
Whatever it was, it wasn’t any of my business.
“Fuck,” I mumbled. I hated the idea of arguing or fighting with Angela. She looked at me earlier for a second or two before looking away. As she ripped her gaze from mine, I held my breath. It was as if the universe almost fell
I looked up to see the skies changing. I picked an umbrella from the corner of the office building and gave it to Azalea.
“Give this to Angela,”
He looked at me and smirked. That fucker!
I glared at me and he quickly walked away.
I was planning on waiting for the rain to stop at the office but through my office window, I saw Angela walking away with the umbrella. I decided to follow her at a reasonable distance. I didn’t want to scare her but I wanted to protect her.
She walked into our home and I found out what she was about to do. I smirked and then followed her in after waiting for a few minutes.

“Sneaking around the house now, aren’t we?”
She screamed. I regretted my decision to sneak up on her almost immediately. She was terrified.
