Chapter 199
BOOK 2: CHAPTER 69
Reina’s POV
I stared at myself in the mirror, sitting in one of the pack’s salons, completely at a loss for words. My hair was being tugged and styled, but I just sat there, speechless and powerless.
Thorne or should I say the asshole who forced me into this was standing behind me with his eyebrows raised at me. I couldn’t say anything. I whined like a puppy and stared back at myself.
How did I end up here? Well, let’s go back to forty minutes ago.
As Thome dragged me out of the basement without an explanation, I knew I needed to say something.
“I swear that I’ll scream murder if you don’t stop dragging me around,” I yelled.
“You better start,” he answered as he put on his sunglasses.
It made me feel kind of special to be the only one to see Thorne’s red eyes. They were beautiful and mesmerizing but at the same time, they meant trouble was looming.
“Get in and don’t say a word,”
He said. I had to turn around to see what he was talking about. It was the car. His car. The same one that almost got me killed the last time.
Whoever fixed that car must’ve learned his skills from heaven.
I hesitated. “Get in,” he snapped.
I shook my head. “The last time I got in, you almost killed me,” I told him,‘
“And I already told you that I can’t try to kill you yet. You’re Rowan’s mate. If I take you away from him, he’ll go rabid. Although I would love to see that but that meant, I wouldn’t have much time to come out,” he paused. “I’m talking too much. Get your tiny ass in,”
“My ass ain’t tiny,” I protested.
He glared at me, making me shut my trap. “I won’t get you killed,” he answered through gritted teeth.
I got into the car, knowing I’d hold Thorne to his words later. As I tried to fix my seat belt, he slapped my hands off and did it himself.
“Thanks,”
“Thanks,” he funnily mimicked me. “I don’t want you touching any part of this baby. I spent a lot of money to get it fixed. So, don’t stain it with your hands,”
I scoffed. “You’re the one covered in dust, and still calls someone dirty. Talk about the frying pan calling the kettle black,”
He gave me the death stare and I looked out through the window. He was probably thinking about a million ways to kill me.
He started the car and drove off.
“Where are we going?”

I asked.
He ignored me.
1 poked his face. “Where are we going, Thorne?” I asked again.
He ignored me.
“Cutie cutie Thorne, where are we going sweetheart? My chunky chunky darling,”
“SHUT UP!”
He yelled so loud I could see the veins protruding from his neck I had a good laugh.
“If I answer you, will you stop talking?” He asked.
“Yeah,”
“I’m taking your unkempt self to a salon to fix your hair and your outfits,” he answered.
“What? Are you serious?”
“You look terrible, Harriette, and I don’t like my woman looking like that,” he answered calmly.
His words caught me off guard but I didn’t know how to react to that.
I thought I was just Rowan’s woman,”
He didn’t answer me.
“Let’s strike a deal. I’ll do whatever this hair thing is without complaining and you’ll tell me what’s in that document you’re looking for. So, deal?” I asked him.
He shook his head. “If I say no, what’s going to happen?”
“I’ll open the door and get out,” I threatened.
He stared at me and grumbled reluctantly. “Fine!”
Here I was, feeling the hotness of the hair straightener without being able to complain. Once they were done, I stared at my weird self in the mirror. I looked different and I didn’t know if it was in a good or bad way. I’d never changed my hairstyle before.
“You look better,” Thorne commented, and instantly turned on his heels and walked out of the salon as though he was being pursued.
I tried to keep up with him.
We walked into a clothing store and he asked me to pick out some clothes myself. I knew I’d made a deal with him so I didn’t dare complain.
Like deja vu, I began changing from one dress to another while Thorne decided whichever one was good enough to keep and whichever one was bad.
By the time we were done, I was so hungry I could hear my stomach growling.
“I could eat a lion right bow,” I complained with a pout as Thorne drove us back.
He suddenly swerved the car and stopped in front of a restaurant

“Stay in here,” he commanded before he went out, I watched him walking into the restaurant and by the time he came out, he had a food paper bag with him.
“Thank you,” I yelled excitedly as he got into the car.
“Now, eat that and shut up,”
I was expecting him to start the car but he didn’t. He was waiting for me to cat.
“So, are you going to tell me what’s in the do
“It’s not my story to tell,” he answered.
