A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 191

The night was dark and quiet.

Jeremy was sitting quite close to Melody. In fact, he was so close that she could see every single eyelash of his, as well as the emotions swirling under the surface of his eyes.

Melody stuttered, "S-say w-what?" Her eyes flickered, and they appeared nervous and wary, with a hint of avoidance mixed in.

It was that hint of avoidance that suddenly got Jeremy riled up.

Why was Melody avoiding him?

With a frown, he reached out, gripped her chin, and tugged her toward him.

He lowered his gaze, and the darkness in his eyes grew.

At that moment, the image of Melody smiling softly and adorably at Denvin when she looked up at him popped into his head.

But now, her clear eyes held no such mirth when looking up at him.

This inexplicable difference upset Jeremy, and since he was upset, he naturally needed to let it out.

He pressed his thumb against the corner of Melody's lips, and in the next second, his lips were on hers. He then increased the pressure of his thumb slightly, forcing Melody to open her mouth.

It seemed as if the darkness of the night had swept away all of his gentleness and calmness. It was as if he were desperate to prove something.

There was nothing tender about the way their lips and teeth clashed together. In fact, it kind of hurt.

Melody pressed both hands against Jeremy's chest, wanting to push him away. Jeremy, however, took the opportunity to capture both her hands and hold them down.

Melody was thin to start with, and her wrists were even more delicate. Naturally, she didn't have the strength to shake him off even though he was holding her two wrists in just his one hand.

With no other choice left, Melody could only bite down on his lip.

The taste of blood slowly spread between them, and that was when Jeremy finally let her go.
