Jeremy assumed that Melody would care deeply about this matter.
When he glanced at her, he noticed a brief flicker of sadness in her eyes. But at the next second, she quietly said, "If I can't find them, then maybe it's just not meant to be. If we really had a connection, they wouldn't have lost me in the first place."
Though Melody didn't hide the disappointment in her voice, her eyes remained clear and bright as she continued, "Anyway, to me, the people I have by my side are more important than relatives I've never met."
Her gaze was so sincere and pure that Jeremy suddenly felt something deep within his heart stir. It was a soft, tender feeling—but it came with a slight ache, as though a tightly shut shell had cracked open just a little.
Without another word, he turned and walked ahead.

Because of the unexpected robbery incident, Ophelia no longer felt like extending their vacation and decided to return home two days later.
Jeremy had no objections. However, since he'd already checked out of his room, he moved directly into Melody's suite.
Melody, concerned about his injury, didn't refuse him either.
This island was renowned for its beautiful scenery, but since Melody couldn't swim, she'd simply sit on the hotel's private beach, watching the sunset.
As she did so, Jeremy would quietly accompany her.
On their way back one evening, Melody suddenly noticed someone holding a few newborn puppies by the entrance of the hotel.
Drawn by her curiosity, she couldn't help looking their way. The man holding the puppies gave her a friendly smile. "Miss, would you like to adopt a cute little puppy to take home?"
Melody hopefully asked, "Is that okay?"
"Of course!" the man said, proudly patting his chest. "These are puppies from my dog. Our home can't accommodate them all, so I'm here looking for good homes."
