A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 218

After a brief two-day break, Melody returned to work at the hospital and was surprised to find the department to be in a bustling state.

Tiffany pursed her lips and sarcastically explained, "It's because of Krystal's promotional video. She's famous now. Lots of people want to see the 'star doctor' in person."

Melody frowned, puzzled. "If they're sick, shouldn't they go to outpatient care?"

Tiffany scoffed. "They're obviously here to catch a glimpse of their idol."

Tiffany had previously sent Melody the promotional video, but Melody hadn't watched it. She'd just casually shared it on her social media to support the hospital.

During their lunch break, Melody shared some souvenirs she'd brought back from the island with her coworkers.

One of the nurses warmly praised her, "Mel, you're so thoughtful! You always bring something back for us whenever you travel. I'll bring homemade raisins next time I visit my hometown."

Tiffany playfully teased, "Of course she does. She's our sweet little angel, pretty and kind. By the way, don't forget to buy copies of the magazine featuring Mel when it comes out!"

Melody blushed and waved her hand, embarrassed. "Oh no, you don't have to!"

Just as Tiffany was about to tease her again, another voice sharply interrupted, "What's so special about that? You traveled a bit and took a few magazine photos. So what?

"You look like just another online influencer, flaunting your appearance. A good nurse isn't defined by a pretty face."

It was a nurse in her early 30s. She was thin and had a stern expression.
