A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 255

Charles only allowed Melody to finish out the day. Before the day was over, Gwen came over and arranged the handover.

Only then did Tiffany learn that Melody was suspended.

Her eyes widened as she asked, "Why didn't you tell me about it?"

"There's nothing to tell. I'll be back in my post again before you know it," Melody responded softly. She wasn't the type to make the others worry for her to begin with.

Tiffany bit her lips, glanced at Penelope, who wore a cheerful look, and grew irritated.

"Looks like I'll have to see her sucking up to you-know-who again. This is annoying. Why did she have to be transferred to our department?" She was grumbling softly when the doctors returned after making rounds at the wards.

Krystal stopped walking when she passed by the nurse's station. She cast a glance at Melody and said icily, "Since you're going to rest at home, make sure you hand over your tasks properly.

"I don't want anything wrong to happen to my patients." As she spoke, many doctors cast their glances her way.

Melody raised her gaze and looked at Krystal, her eyes clear and bright. "I've never made any mistake when it comes to the patients."

Krystal raised her chin and lowered her gaze, her eyes laced with a touch of mockery. "I'm just giving you a reminder. Why do you feel the need to stress it?"

Melody was in low spirits to begin with. She also knew that her suspension had everything to do with Andrew. So, she felt a little annoyed and unwilling, even though she was usually mild and meek.

Pursing her lips, she responded, "That's because you've always liked passing judgment from your subjective point of view, Dr. Finnigan. So, I have to stress it multiple times to make sure it gets through your thick head."

This was the first time Melody had dissed Krystal in front of this many people. In fact, she was taking a dig at Krystal for being egoistic.

Krystal's gaze turned cold. She was about to say something, but Jeremy spoke first.
