A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 262

Jeremy brought Melody back home again, but she had nothing to comment on it.

Instead, she pulled her phone out. Tiffany and Felicia had been sharing funny video clips in the chat group every day. Even Jason had joined in on the fun and shared some of his own.

Others like Alexis, Denvin, and some of Melody's closer colleagues also texted her, checking to see if she was doing okay. However, she hadn't been doing well for the past few days, so she didn't respond to any of them.

After Melody finished reading and replying to each text, she mustered up her courage and opened Twitter. Surprisingly, she didn't receive a flood of notifications she had anticipated.

Then, she tapped into Twitter's trending section. As expected, her name was no longer trending.

What Jeremy said earlier in the afternoon popped into her mind. Raising her head, she asked softly, "Did you help me with it?"

He was behind the wheel. So, he kept his eyes on the road and responded nonchalantly, "Denvin helped too."

This was probably the only time he and Denvin put aside their differences and worked together.

Melody held her phone, lowered her head, and said in a hoarse voice, "Thank you."

Jeremy said, "I would never leave you to your own fate. Also, you didn't do anything wrong this time. You don't deserve to be put through that."

She didn't respond to him. She wasn't sure when he saw things this way. She only vaguely remembered that he never cared if she was cyberbullied or not.

After the unexpected incident, Melody suddenly became overly sensitive. She was more prone to overthinking and getting herself stuck in a negative rut.
