A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 51

Alexis moved quickly, picking up her camera and snapping a shot before Melody could even introduce herself.

She froze and was unsure of what to do.

Alexis glanced at the camera screen and nodded in satisfaction. "You're very photogenic."

She extended a hand toward Melody. "Nice to meet you, I'm Alexis Sinclair. Felicia told me about your situation. You're a nurse and only get one day off a week, right?

"Then let's schedule one shoot per week. Three outfits per session. Do you think you can make that work?"

Alexis spoke fast, barely giving Melody time to process her words before she finished.

Melody hurriedly nodded. "Yes, that works for me."

"How about a test shoot today?" Before Melody could even react, Alexis had already pushed her toward the dressing room.

It wasn't until she had changed outfits and gotten her makeup done that the nerves finally hit her.

"I've never done this before," Melody admitted. "I don't know how to pose."

"No worries, I'll guide you."

Alexis had arranged a simple home-style photoshoot for Melody. She asked Melody to let her hair down to cover her ears.

Melody had never really taken photos before. One reason was because she had always thought she looked plain, and the other was because whenever the Wardolf family took family portraits, Laura would always find an excuse to keep her out of the frame.

She'd used to say that Melody's hearing aids made her look bad in photos, and because of that, Melody had developed a subconscious resistance to being photographed.

But since this shoot was meant to be casual and homey, she gradually relaxed despite being a little nervous at first.

Eventually, the shoot wrapped up faster than expected.
