Chapter 13 Her Repeated Requests

“Mr. Shawn, please bear in mind that our relationship has deteriorated to the point of divorce and that what we just did in front of Admas was merely a charade.”
Chloe pondered, “Since we will break up, is it necessary for me to go back?
Doesn’t my absence make it convenient for him to bring Lucy there?”
Her repeated requests for a divorce became a headache for Michael.
“Stop the car.”
The driver stepped on the brakes, and the car pulled up on the roadside in the city center.
“Thanks.”
Chloe was calm. She opened the door and got out of the car. “I’ll have someone dry–clean the clothes and send them back to you.”
“Throw them away if you don’t want them.”
Michael was unwilling to take back what he had given away.
Ile assumed Chloe was really good at annoying him.

“Okay. Mr. Shawn, I hope you will keep your promise and remove the sale of Apricot Manor.”
Chloe closed the door with a bang and pivoted away.
She was even more indifferent than before!
The driver was sitting in the driver’s seat, trembling. “Mr. Shawn, where are we going back to now?”
“Lotus Manor.”

Michael was furious that Chloe only cared about Apricot Manor and still reminded him of it before leaving!
After it got dark, the outdoor temperature dropped significantly compared to the daytime. Chloe, feeling a bit chilly in her sleeveless dress, decided to slip on the sweatshirt she had worn earlier.
When she got home, it was surprising that Candy was at home. She glanced back at her and said, “What are you wearing? Is it a new trend?”
Chloe changed her shoes without responding.
“Was Michael so stingy that he didn’t even prepare a decent dress for you?”

Candy was aware that every time Chloe returned, the Shawn family would subject her to humiliation. If this had been Chloe’s outfit today, she would undoubtedly have faced serious
consequences.
It was much warmer at home. Chloe, ready to take a shower,
took off her sweatshirt.
Candy finally nodded at the sight of the dress inside. “It is pretty.”
After Chloe took a shower, Candy, sitting on the sofa, said, “There’s something. Come and take a look.”
Chloe noticed numerous printed documents on the table and assumed they were related to programming, causing her expression to become serious.
Unexpectedly, she walked over, only to find dozens of sheets of rental and property purchase information.
She raised her head and stared at Candy in silence.
“Why are you gazing at me? You’re searching for a house. I’m afraid you can’t do this after being Mrs. Shawn for several years. I’ve gathered information for you. Let me know which one you prefer.”
Chloe thought that Candy was still angry about her moving out.
“Aren’t you displeased?”
Chapter 13 Her Repeated Requests
Candy shook her head. “What for? If you intend to leave and buy a house, just go ahead, and I’ll enjoy some peace!”
In fact, she also felt that Chloe should have her own residence. However, since she hadn’t divorced yet, this matter would be a bit troublesome.
Chloe knew that Candy didn’t mean it, and her expression softened a lot.
She perched next to Candy and reviewed the documents. “Which one do you think is perfect?”
When they finished their discussion, it was already late. Chloe went back to her room and was about to sleep when her cell phone rang. It was Wendy.
Wendy had permanently been hospitalized and rarely contacted her.
