Wendy had been betrayed by Charles and backstabbed by Lucy and Tiffany, and for years, she never got a fair answer.

She squeezed Chloe’s shoulder gently. “I know you and your mom are both kind souls, but sometimes, too much kindness can be seen as weakness.”

“Wait a minute, look! There’s new gossip online again!” Jessica scrolled her mouse and found Cathy’s video. “Someone is deliberately targeting the Shawn family. Chloe, what if you’re just collateral damage in all this?” 

Chloe frowned as she watched the video of Cathy entering and leaving the club. 

At first, she thought Lucy was coming after her, but if that were the case? 

“Maybe Lucy wants to divert the Shawn family’s attention?”
