Layla had thought that Leah might ask her about her family situation after overhearing her conversation with her mother.

However, Leah didn't inquire about it. Instead, she spoke gently, "It's getting late, you should go. It's my fault that you have to work overtime."

Layla quickly replied, "No... it's fine, Miss Wilson. Taking care of you is part of my job."

Leah smiled and said, "It's okay. You may leave."

Layla hesitated but finally asked, "But, Miss Wilson, if I leave, who will take care of you?"

"I've already asked a friend to come over. You can go back now. Don't worry," Leah assured her. During her medical examination earlier, Leah had messaged Janet, and she was likely on her way.

Leah didn't want her family to know about her situation, so she hadn't informed them.

Layla wanted to stay and take care of Leah, but then her mother called again, so she had no choice but to leave.

"Then I'll be leaving, Miss Wilson. Rest well."

Leah nodded. "Go ahead."
