However, Miranda and Sam took a family photo, met the parents, and even celebrated the holidays together! 

This was a proper family photo where everyone was posing neatly for the camera, unlike the last photo where only a corner of Miranda’s chin made it into the photo of the dinner 

table. 

Judging from that, let alone being in a relationship, they might even be discussing marriage at this stage. No wonder Hansel had lost his mind over this. 

Calvin pondered for a moment before dialing Sam’s number, intending to test the waters. If 

if it truly was a misunderstanding that he and Miranda were meeting his family, then Hansel wouldn’t have to drown his sorrows in alcohol. 

“Sam, Happy Easter! I’m just calling to wish you!” 

On the other end, Sam replied, “Happy Easter to you too, Cal.” 

“Are you spending the holidays at home? Send my regards to your parents for me.” 

“Thank you, that’s kind of you.” 

“Since our homes aren’t too far apart, let me bring you two bottles of good wine. Wait up-

“There’s no need. I’m not at the Cooper residence.‘ 

“Huh?” Calvin’s eyes flickered. “Then you’re at?” 

“I’m at my grandparents‘ house.” 

Calvin pretended to be surprised. “Oh… This wine is really good, though. I’ll still drop some off for your parents, so you can have some when you get back. By the way, your grandparents must have pestered you to get married now that you’re spending the holidays with them, right?” 

The other end went silent. 

Calvin chuckled dryly and added quickly, “You know, these elders just can’t come up with new topics. It’s the same old thing every year, the same few lines repeated over and over again. They are going to drive me crazy…” 

Sam chuckled softly. “Compared to you, my situation is actually pretty good. No nagging for me this year.” 

Aren and Fiona’s attention were all focused on their long–lost daughter to bother with him. Hearing this, Calvin’s heart sank.

Chapter 0836 

Since he wasn’t nagged about getting married, that meant he already had someone, right? 

Damn! Was he really with Miranda? 

Calvin couldn’t imagine how crazy Hansel would become if those two showed up all lovey- dovey in front of him! 

At the mansion, Hansel fumbled in the dark to turn on the lights. On his way back, the chilly wind had sobered him up. 

However, his throat was terribly parched. Instinctively, he called out toward the kitchen. ” Martha, bring me some water… 

However, there was no response after waiting for a moment. Hansel finally remembered that Martha had left for her hometown a few days earlier for the Easter holidays. 

Hansel got up from the couch and headed straight to the kitchen. He poured himself some water from the purifier and drank two glasses in one go to quench his thirst. However, his head still felt heavy and dazed. 

Hansel returned back to the living room and lay down on the couch for a while. A sharp pain began twisting in his stomach from being in a curled–up position and worsened by 

the alcohol. 

He immediately reached for the drawer under the coffee table, where he found the stomach pain medicine he often took. Miranda used to say that his stomach was weak, and since he liked lounging on the couch after a night out, she kept medicine in the living room just in 

case.
