'I Am in love with the shape of you push an...' Omg who was calling me this early on a Sunday?

I groaned in frustration and picked up my phone.

" Hi bitch!" Marinda greeted me cheerfully.

"Seriously Marinda? You are calling me this early on a Sunday! When you know my beauty sleep is so important?" I asked her.

"It's eleven o clock honey and you have lunch at my house today remember?" She asked me giggling.

Oh shit I totally forgot. Last night I had came back so late that I had totally forgot to put the seven alarms that woke me up. I quickly got out of bed and took a quick shower.

After fifteen minutes I was ready. I wore a white sleevless shirt and paired it with my black skirt and white sneakers. After putting my hair in a pony and applying some mascara and lip gloss I was finally done. I knew I totally looked like a tennis player but I kinda liked the vibe.

I quickly ran downstairs and was greeted by a very angry mom. She was very strict about being punctual. We soon sat in the car and reached Marindas house.

Marinda's mom Grace came to open the door and engulfed me in a tight hug.

"Happy Birthday darling " She wished me cheerfully.

I smiled at her and then we entered. Their house was like a mansion. It had three floors and twenty bedrooms. Grace had a passion for interior designing so she had designed it all herself.

"Hey Sydney!" Greeted Marinda.

"Hey dude are you okay?, were you able to sneak back in or did he find you?" I whispered in her ear.

"Oh its no problem, we did some trading and I saved myself from some grounding." She giggled.

Well that was weird.

"Oh and by the way I want you to meet someone." she said and she took me to the kitchen.

And in the kitchen I found the cutest little chef stirring a cupcake better. She had her tongue out as she stirred in full concentration. Her blonde curls fell onto her eyes but she was still adamant to stir that batter.

"This is my cousin Alice, her parents have gone for some business so she is staying with us. I told her that today is your birthday and she wanted to make you some cupcakes." Marinda told me.

"I think I can mix the rest of the batter Alice." Said Marinda as she made her way to her.

"But..." She started but stopped when she saw me.

"Is this Sydney?" She asked Marinda, her eyes beaming with happiness.

"I believe she is." Marinda smiled.
