He whispered something into the phone and hung up. 

Kira took a step backwards when he went up to her. 

Austyn stared into her eyes. ‘How much did you hear just now?” 

“Nothing. I didn’t hear anything.‘ Kira swallowed nervously. 

He scoffed. ‘I know you heard it.‘ 

He pulled her to sit down on the sofa. ‘Don’t you want to know who I called?” 

His Dark Side 

Kira was nodding hallway before she caught herself.

The new version of Austyn was a little scary. 

The snippets of conversation she’d overheard gave her an idea of his dark side.
