Mia’s POV:

After getting rid of the security guards, I chased after Anya. However, as soon as I came out, I was surrounded by the reporters at once.

“Mrs, Walter, can you tell us what has happened?” one of the reporters asked.

Seeing the reporters, I took a deep breath as I didn’t want to ruin my fair lady image in front of the public. Then I said, “What happened is that we, Walter have raised an ungrateful girl who has turned her back on us today! She has no mercy even for her father!”

“Mrs. Walter, what do you think of Anya’s relationship with Mr. Helsen?”

“Rumors has it that Anya’s bought into Shining Star Media. Is it true?”

“It’s her private business. You should ask her.” I said with a dark face as I was not in the mood for an interview. “Stealing men from other women and taking away properties from others. That kind of thing happens a lot. However, you need to see through all these. The Helsen family is a very respectable one. Will they allow a woman like that, to marry their family? Let's wait and see!”

I know, for the press, my words were like a bombshell! After all, as long as it was interesting enough for the public, they didn’t care at all if it was true or not…

I am not gonna let Anya steal the thunder from my daughter.

I had failed to ruin Anya completely six years ago, but this time I will make sure that Anya would never get back on her feet again.

Tina’s POV:

As we sat inside the car, my mother still kept swearing and her chest rose and fell violently in a fury.

“How could she be so lucky! She has just been kicked out of the Cater family, but the Helsen family takes her back in!”

I felt a little scared looking at her like this. I handed her a bottle of water and said, “Mom, for the sake of your blood pressure, calm down and drink some water!”

She took the water from me. Then, she looked at me with a look of disappointment on her face, as she said, “You are letting us down, Tina! You have been Mr. Carter’s fiancee for years, and you still are! We don’t know if you will be able to marry into the Carter family. Why can’t you just learn from me!”

Hearing my mother’s words, I felt and knitted my eyebrows.

I also wanted to marry Evan as soon as possible! But Evan has never bought this up! And as I lady, I felt that it was improper for me to mention it.
