Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 115

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 115

Braxton could not figure out why things had turned out this way. Louis was similarly stumped.

Although Braxton did not know Mr. Griffin well, he had heard rumors about him. Not much was known about Mr. Griffin’s background, but no one could provoke the power behind him.

Otherwise, how was Mr. Griffin able to regulate the antique market in Seaxas?

However, Braxton could not understand how Rachel Grey was acquainted with someone like Mr. Griffin.

Could it be that Rachel had been hiding something from him?

Braxton sighed. “It’s getting late. Let’s end this here.”

With that, he went upstairs without looking back.

When Rachel walked to the door, she was stunned to see the man leaning against the car.

David Jones seemed to have sensed something. He looked up. The moment his gaze was met with Rachel’s, the frost in his eyes disappeared instantly. The apathetic expression on his face was replaced by a gentle and affectionate one.

Rachel did not know what she should say to this man.

He had appeared out of nowhere and even acted as her supporter. He also understood her inner sensitivity and left enough personal time for her to settle down.

Just as she stepped forward, Olivia Cruise’s voice sounded from behind. “Miss Grey.”

Hearing her voice, Rachel frowned slightly, but her footsteps continued, showing no signs of halting.

Olivia quickly chased after Rachel and grabbed her wrist. She questioned coldly, “Rachel Grey, didn’t you hear me speaking to you?”

“I don’t have the energy to pay attention to dogs barking by the roadside.” Rachel raised. her eyebrows slightly. She sized Olivia up from head to toe and smiled faintly. “I was in such a hurry to leave I forgot to wish Miss Cruise a happy engagement.”
