Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 118

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 118

Rachel Grey widened her eyes and struggled. “What are you trying to do?”

David Jones looked at her. His gaze slid down bit by bit and finally landed on her lips. “I demand compensation.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he kissed her lips fiercely.

The man’s kiss was unlike his temperament. It was domineering, and he did not allow her to catch her breath. As the kiss deepened, she felt the kiss convey his displeasure to her.

Rachel tried her best to control her breathing. The man reluctantly let go of her when she was about to suffocate.

She clutched the shirt on his chest tightly, her lips slightly parted as she breathed heavily. Her fair cheeks were bright red, and her almond–shaped eyes were moist. She looked somehow charming even while being disheveled.

David looked at her, his eyes darkening. “The meeting might have to be postponed.”

Before Rachel could react, he leaned in and kissed her again.

This kiss was even more impudent than before. It was as if he wanted to swallow her whole.

He tightened his grip around her waist. He wished they would never separate again.

There was a fiery and ambiguous atmosphere in the narrow space within the car.

Then Rachel’s phone suddenly rang. The confusion in her eyes dissipated in an instant and she regained her usual clarity.

Rachel pushed his chest. “I really should go.”

David pressed his forehead against hers and pinched her blushed earlobe. “See you tonight.”

It was just a simple action, but Rachel bolted out of the car in response.

David looked at Rachel leave and reached out to rub the corner of his lips with his. fingertips as if he was reminiscing about the lingering warmth.

Suddenly, an idea flashed across his mind. He picked up his phone and made a call. “Add one more person to the contract signing event with Johnson Corporation.”

After Rachel returned to the company, Linda noticed her swollen lips.

Linda’s intuition told her that it must be related to the man who suddenly barged into the office the last time.

Linda gathered her thoughts and stepped forward, handing the prepared information to Rachel. “Ms. Grey, this is the information about Stellar Corporation and the contract.”
