Chapter 323 Is There Really A Need To Keep The Smith Family? David walked to her side and held her slightly cold fingertips. “What happened?” 

“Nothing.” Rachel shook her head. She looked up at the man in front of her, pursed her lips, and said calmly, “It was a call from the Smith family.” 

David frowned slightly. “Is there really a need to keep the Smith family alive?” It was just a casual sentence, but it was enough to send chills down one’s spine. 

With David’s ability and strength, it would not take much effort to destroy the Smith family. 

“It’d be a waste of your resources.” 

“It’s an honor to serve you.” 

Rachel smiled. Her cold voice was filled with gentleness. “But a person like 

you should stand at the top of the pyramid and enjoy the attention of everyone. You shouldn’t waste your energy and time on such an unworthy person.” 

Hearing this, David raised his eyebrows slightly and raised his hand to pinch Rachel’s cheek. “You make it sound so dignified. I think you clearly want to draw a line between us.” 

She said, “You’re my surefire skill. Only the big boss is worthy of my ultimate trump card. As for those small fries, I can deal with them myself.” 

It didn’t seem unreasonable to say these words of flattery. She sounded.

David didn’t know what to do with her. 

He felt that he needed to learn from Jimmy how to make a woman rely on 

him. 

“Why don’t you go back to my room and rest?”

“David!” Rachel could not help but exclaim. She subconsciously reached out her hands and hooked them around his neck. 

In the quiet garden, her exclamation was especially obvious. 

Rachel buried her head in his neck shyly. Her beautiful eyes were filled with frustration. “Put me down quickly! What if someone sees us later?” 

David said. “So be it. You’re my woman, my future wife. You’re not some shady lover.” 

His voice was no different from usual, but it made Rachel’s heart race uncontrollably. 

Rachel was carried back to the room by David. 

The two of them lay on the bed intimately, making Rachel feel uncomfortable all over. The rosiness on her cheeks spread all the way to her ears. 

“David, this is your room. I think I’d better go to the guest room…” 

“Stay here. You’re not allowed to go.” David wrapped his arms around her waist domineeringly. He looked down at the rosiness on her face. His eyes could not help but darken. 

The man’s warm breath landed on the skin of Rachel’s neck, like a feather tickling her heart, making her subconsciously tense up a certain tendon in her body. 

Rachel pursed her lips and carefully retracted her hand. She quietly placed it against her chest. 

David saw her actions clearly, and there was a faint smile at the corner of his lips. 

Looking at the obedient Rachel, an idea to tease her arose in his head. 

He wanted to see her cry in his arms with reddened eyes. 

However, at this moment, he heard a click from the door. 

Rachel and David raised their heads at the same time. They were caught off guard as they lay back on the bed together after their heads collided. 

A few seconds later, David chuckled and remarked, “It must have been–hard- 

on her.”
