Chapter 397
Rachel looked at the ring on her finger in shock.
“Getting a marriage certificate is indeed too hasty,” David’s deep and cold voice suddenly rang out.
Rachel looked up at him.
With one hand in his pocket, David walked over step by step. “But to prevent others from coveting you, I still have to label you as mine.”
“Then what is this? A proposal?”
As she spoke, she raised her hand and waved it.
“Do you agree?”
“Does it matter if I agree or not?” Rachel looked at him helplessly. “You didn’t even give me a chance to refuse and directly put the ring on my finger.”
David reached out and pulled her into his arms. “It’s your fault for being too beautiful.”
He knew that Rachel had always wanted a sense of ritual, and he was willing to satisfy it.
However, Zion Summers’s appearance yesterday made him feel a sense of crisis.
He had no choice but to resort to this.
Rachel leaned into his arms obediently. She rubbed the slightly cold ring with her fingers and sighed softly. “I thought I would have a romantic and grand proposal ceremony…
David kissed her temple. His deep and cold voice slowly entered her ears. “What others have, my Rae–Rae has too.”
Rachel tilted her eyes to look at him. Her lips curled into a smile that reached her eyes. “Then I’ll look forward to it first?”
“Okay.”
“Are
you free this afternoon?” Rachel asked.
David said, “Do you want to take a look around?”
Rachel nodded. “I haven’t been here for a long time. I plan to walk around.”
After the two went out, David learned from Rachel that she had spent her high school days in Pollister.
She also met Linda Galler and Jessica Tower here.
After walking around Pollister High School, they went to a restaurant for dinner.
“Rachel?!” A sweet female voice suddenly sounded from behind.
Rachel’s body froze on the spot.
The things accumulated in the depths of her heart were like Pandora’s box that had been opened, pouring out all at once.
Her mind was dazed as if someone had poured a pail of ice water over her from head to toe in the cold winter. The bone–chilling cold swept. through her limbs and bones wantonly, and her hands trembled uncontrollably.
David noticed Rachel’s abnormality and tightened his grip on her hand. “Are you feeling unwell?”
Rachel slowly regained consciousness and stared at him for a moment. She shook her head gently and continued walking forward without looking back.

Lily Grey looked at Rachel’s determined back and subconsciously wanted to chase after her, but her mother, Rose Grey, grabbed her. “Where are you going?”
“I-”
“You’ve got the wrong person.” Rose exposed her thoughts with one sentence. She held Lily’s hand and walked towards the private room. She did not forget to mutter, “We haven’t seen each other for so many years. Perhaps she has already died outside. Why don’t you think about the scandal she caused in high school…”

would love to see an actual end to this story. for now it's just hanging in limbo...
Please update the chapters and complete the novel...
Its ridiculouse to think it is normal to love bomb someone for couple of days and then they are in love. They dont know each other at all. So annoying to read. And whats more, to kiss by force is romantic?? How the hell is that romantic?? Cant understand its logic....
