Chapter 401 

After returning to Seaxas, Rachel devoted herself to her work. 

Although the scandal on the cruise ship was not exposed, Jane was sent to the hospital overnight to recuperate until now. It had already attracted various opinions outside. 

“Jane is really stupid.” Mary sneered in disdain. “She has suffered so many losses from you, but she never learned her lesson.” 

Jane actually thought of such a despicable method to drug Rachel. 

However, now the Smith family regarded themselves as a wealthy family. How ridiculous!

Jane had first suffered a loss from Rachel, and now Johnson Corporation had directly intercepted Smith Group’s investment. The Smith family would not let it go no matter what.

“What’s the matter?” 

“I… It’s like this. If it’s convenient for you, can the two of us meet at Joyce’s for a chat? I have something to tell you alone.” 

Just as Rachel was about to reject him, she heard Old Mr. Smith continue, “I’ll wait for you here until you’re willing to come and see me.” 

With that, he hung up without giving Rachel a chance to answer. 

Rachel listened to the beeping sound on the phone and helplessly raised her hand to rub her temples. 

Mary put on a fake smile and said, “I told you the Smith family wouldn’t let this go, right?” 

Hearing this, Rachel glared at her angrily. “It’s all because of your jinxed mouth!” 

With that, she got up and packed her things. 

Mary happened to go out with her. As Mary walked, she quickly typed on Whatsapp. 

The other party replied very quickly. Mary instantly smiled brightly. 

“Are you in love again?” Rachel raised her eyebrows and smiled mischievously. 

“It’s not a relationship this time.” Mary placed her hands on Rachel’s shoulders and looked at her solemnly. “I’m going to marry him.” 

Rachel frowned slightly and held her hand earnestly. “Marriage is not child’s play, Mary. I think you need to calm down.” 

“Of course, I understand. But when love comes, there’s no stopping it.” Mary said, “Just like when you met David, can you really remain calm and unmoved?” 

Rachel looked at her and suddenly smiled. “I can’t.”
