Chapter 410 

“Have you checked the money transfer account?” David asked. 

Eddie did not hesitate at all. “It’s the Smith family.” 

When David heard this, his eyes narrowed slightly, and a chill appeared in his dark eyes. “Are you sure?” 

“Absolutely.” Eddie said, “The Smith family probably wanted the recording in Miss Grey’s hands. They probably wanted to create an accident and destroy the phone, but they didn’t expect things to turn out like this.” 

If things got out of hand, it wouldn’t do the Smith family any good. 

After pondering for a long time, Eddie asked carefully, “Mr. Jones, should we send someone to warn the Smith family?” 

“Someone who hurt my woman can never escape unscathed.” David’s eyes were cold as if they were tempered with ice. His deep and cold voice couldn’t be more indifferent. “Since they like to cause accidents, let them experience the fear of death too.” 

“Yes, Mr. Jones.” 

After hanging up, David returned to the ward. 

On the hospital bed, Rachel was curled up. She was holding her phone and checking the messages in the Whatsapp group chat. 

Mary sent in the discussion group, [The day after tomorrow, we’ll leave at nine o’clock sharp. Everyone, don’t be late.] 

Jessica replied, [Got it!] 

Linda replied, [I see.] 

Rachel was the last one to reply, [Okay.] 

At this moment, a shadow enveloped her from above. 

Rachel looked up and met David’s bottomless gloomy eyes. 

“Are you going to Pollister?” 

Rachel nodded. She snuggled deeper into the bed and leaned against his chest in relief. “I’m going to pick someone up. I’ll be back soon.” 

David lay on the bed and reached out to pull Rachel into his arms. He leaned over and kissed her forehead. “Do you need me to send someone to follow you?” 

“No need.” Rachel pursed her lips and gently poked his chin with her fingertips. “Don’t interfere in the Smith family’s matters.” 

David held her hand and stared at her without blinking. “Reason.” 

His eyes were too dark and deep, like a bottomless black hole. 

Rachel looked down helplessly and said calmly, “I don’t want to get you involved.” 

Actually, this matter was not difficult to guess at all. 

Coincidentally, there was a car accident, and her phone was broken. 

Anyone would know that this matter had something to do with the Smith family. 

David looked at her helplessly. “I can’t just stand by and do nothing when it comes to you.”
