Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 485

Chapter 485

When the other young socialites heard what Hannah said, their eyes revealed a look of contempt.

Visit the hot springs?

How desperate!

Just as the others were about to volunteer themselves, with no trace of warmth on David’s angular face, a layer of coldness now appeared between his brows. “Did I ask you?”

His deep and cold tone carried a terrifying low pressure as if the surrounding air had condensed into fine ice.

Hannah was shocked by David’s attitude and even more embarrassed that her offer had been rejected so coldly with no appreciation.

Hannah lowered her head, biting her lip. She tried her best to ignore the mocking gazes around her and held in her bitter feelings.

Although Old Mr. Shain was unhappy with Hannah’s actions, in order to protect his family’s reputation, he had no choice but to step forward. “Mr. Jones, what Hannah said makes sense. Miss Grey is fresh off the boat and I’m afraid she’s not familiar with the surrounding area. I don’t want to ruin your mood. Why don’t… why don’t we ask Mr. Shain to help.”

Jimmy was stunned.

Jimmy, who was already bored of being here, immediately rubbed his palms. together excitedly and looked toward David.

However, he saw David’s unwilling expression.

Haha! As*hole!

They were supposed to be good friends that would go through life and death together, but now that he had a woman, he was rejecting him in public?!

David looked toward Rachel. “Miss Grey, are you willing to accompany me?”

Rachel glanced at Hannah, pulling her gaze away before speaking calmly, “If Mr. Jones doesn’t mind, of course, I will accompany you.”

As everyone watched, David and Rachel left together.

David looked down at the high heels Rachel was wearing and frowned. “They don’t fit?”

It was inevitable that brand-new shoes would cause blisters on the back of the heel. However, Rachel had not expected David to notice.

David was holding her ankle, carefully placing the band-aid on the back of her heel.

Billy Jones, who was standing nearby, was dumbfounded as he watched.

Eddie patted his shoulder and said earnestly, “Hey, calm down. Don’t look as if you don’t know anything.”

“You’re talking as if you do!!” Billy sneered, pushing Eddie’s hand away with his shoulder.

Eddie’s lips twitched slightly, and a significant smile reached his eyes. “Kneeling? Even if he had to give his life, Mr. Jones would be willing.”

Eddie did not say this without any basis. Based on how David had acted tonight, he knew that Rachel had already captured David’s heart.

“Any news from Marina?”

“She’s gone to look for Old Mrs. Jones.”

Hearing this, a hint of sarcasm flashed across Eddie’s eyes. “She hasn’t changed!”
