Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 507

Chapter 507

David kissed Rachel all the way down. He parted her collar and bit her collarbone.

Rachel suddenly opened her eyes and hugged David’s head with both hands. “David, are you a dog?”

“Why did he have to bite me like that?” Rachel thought.

David raised his eyebrows slightly. “Why aren’t you pretending to be asleep anymore?”

“Who said I was pretending to be asleep?” A flash of embarrassment appeared in Rachel’s eyes. She argued, “I’d wanted to continue sleeping, but someone’s kiss woke me up.”

Rachel had only wanted to take a nap on the couch initially, but she did not expect to fall asleep.

Neither did Rachel expect David to kiss her while she was asleep.

David got up and sat beside Rachel. David reached out his arm and pulled Rachel into his embrace. David tucked Rachel’s hair behind her shoulders and rubbed her sensitive car with his fingertips. “In that case,

it’s my fault.”

“It was your fault in the first place.” Rachel leaned her back against David’s chest and looked at him. “Is the meeting over?”

“No.” David lowered his eyes and looked at the colorful gemstone bracelet on Rachel’s slender wrist. An imperceptible coldness flashed across his eyes. “What did you talk about with Thomas Shain?”

When Rachel heard this, she immediately understood.

David was demanding an explanation.

No wonder the meeting that was going well was suddenly halted.

“You saw us?”

David’s fingers h**ked onto the bracelet on Rachel’s wrist, and he resisted the urge to rip it off. David’s deep and cold voice was mixed with a tinge of unknown anger. “You sounded like you didn’t want me to see you.”

“Thomas is just a childhood playmate.” Rachel turned around in David’s embrace and placed her hands on his shoulders. “The Johnson family and the Shain family are old friends. The three of us often played together. After we grew up, we were busy with our own things and rarely contacted each other in private. This time, Thomas suddenly came back. Grandpa Shain probably called Thomas back to take over the Shain family.”
