Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 516

Chapter 516

When Louis walked towards Olivia, he placed his palm on her thin shoulders and squeezed earnestly. “Olivia, the Cruise family is counting on you.”

“Dad, don’t worry. I won’t disappoint you,” said Olivia.

Before she could finish her sentence, her phone suddenly rang. When she saw that it was a call from Louis, the corners of her lips curled up involuntarily. “I have to take this call.”

With that, she grabbed her phone and quickly ran upstairs to her room.

As soon as the call was picked up, Louis’s voice sounded on the other end, “Olivia.” “Louis,” Olivia called out softly.

Louis took the initiative to ask about Marina’s invitation to the banquet. “You seem to be very close with Miss Jones lately.”

Olivia was slightly stunned. Her expression was calm, but there was an unclear emotion in her eyes. Her voice was still as gentle as before. “Miss Jones and I hit it off very well. Not only did she accept me as her g*ddaughter, but she also agreed to help me support the Cruise family.”

“Louis, to be honest, I still feel like this is all a dream.”

There was no hint of humility in what was said. They were honest and grounded in truth.

In the past, Olivia never dreamed that she would one day be related to the Jones family of Aureliana, let alone be taken in as Marina’s goddaughter.

She thought that perhaps the heavens finally felt sorry for her.

The heavens couldn’t bear to let her be bullied by Rachel over and over again. She also knew that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Rachel was currently doing well in Seaxas because of the sugar daddy behind her.

Whether it was a sugar daddy, who was worth 20 billion dollars, or the richest family in Seaxas, the Johnson family, these two supporters were not worth mentioning in front of the Jones family of Aureliana.

She wanted to see how Rachel would fight her in the future!

Upon hearing her words, Louis fell into a short moment of contemplation.

After what seemed like an eternity, a shadowy spark flashed in his eyes, as if he had finally made up his mind. “Olivia, when I’m done with my work, I’ll find time to visit your parents and propose a wedding date,” he said.

Olivia did not seem too shocked to learn this. Everything seemed to fall smoothly

within her expectations.

“Sure.”
