Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 592

Clap! Clap! Clap!

The crisp and abrupt sound of applause rang out behind.

Rachel glanced to the side and immediately spotted Marina standing in front of the second-floor balcony.

“Miss Grey, you always bring me surprises time after time,”

“You’re an impressionable senior, Auntie Marina, Rachel said sarcastically.

Rachel’s sarcastic and impolite words instantly wiped the smile off Marina’s face.

She took a deep breath and forced a smile again. “Miss Grey, do you really think you can do whatever you want just because someone is backing you up in this auction?”

The organizers of this charity auction had always been low-key.

When Marina first arrived in Seaxas, she privately conducted an investigation into the long-established and wealthy families in the city, as well as gained an understanding of the city’s major events.

There had always been three unsolved mysteries in the whole city of Seaxas.

One of them was the organizer of this annual charity auction.

She came to this auction hoping to meet the organizers, who had always been low-key. But instead of meeting the real organizers, she ended up meeting Rachel, who she considered a fake.

In

Marina’s understanding, even if Rachel had the Johnson family as her backing, it was not easy to organize such a grand charity auction solely through financial and material resources.

Besides, the Only Love Foundation had a history of more than 30 years.

However, Rachel was only in her early twenties, which meant that the Only Love Foundation had long existed before Rachel was born.

Therefore, Marina guessed that Rachel was just causing trouble here under the name of David.

Rachel did not know what Marina was thinking, but upon hearing Marin’s words, she smiled faintly. “Do you think I need him to back me up?” she asked.

Her confidence never came from anyone else but from herself.

Even if Rachel lost David, she still had the confidence and capital to confront Marina.

“Idiot, you’re still acting tough at this point!”

A mocking voice filled with sarcasm rang out loud and clear, causing the crowd to burst into low laughter.

If Rachel’s speech as a representative had surprised the audience just a moment ago, the contemptuous smiles on their faces now made it clear they were mocking her. It was as though they were watching a joke as they looked at Rachel.

After all, other than Marina, David, Zion, and Mary in the private room, no one knew her identity.

Seeing this scene, Olivia’s anger and hatred were finally relieved.

At this moment, nothing could make her happier than seeing Rachel getting humiliated.

“This Rachel is really overestimating herself. She actually dares to say such rude words to the mistress of the Jones family!”

“Look at how arrogant she is. She clearly has no idea who she just offended!”

“She’s vain and hypocritical. No wonder she was dumped by Mr. Smith back then.”

“Do you think you’re so great just because you have Mr. Jones backing you? The person in front of you is the proud daughter of the Jones family. Even Mr. Jones has to be polite to her. You’re doomed!”

Everyone spoke one after another, not hiding their mockery of Rachel.

After a long while, an extremely deep and cold voice suddenly sounded. “Is it very funny?”

David’s voice carried a chill that seeped into one’s heart. The cold temperature was like the biting cold wind in the cold winter, lowering the temperature in the venue.

In an instant, all the mockery and ridicule in the venue stopped.

Everyone looked at David walking towards them step by step.

David exuded a terrifying aura, and his exquisite eyes were filled with cold hostility.

The murderous look on his face made people shudder.
